VillaChris
Be interested to see what we do once Benteke gets into his stide and starts game, will it be the usual Gabby and Weimman either side or will we go with two upfront and a midfield diamond? darrenm
I think you'll see us reverting to the standard 4-3-3 with the English trio in midfield then Gabby, Weimann and Benteke as a spike.
Popular Post Jimzk5
Its a good job we got he's contract sorted out so we can look forward to more of those lackluster displays he put in today.
Dodgyknees
He offers so much, he can... he... he. Be right back.
Dr_Pangloss
Indeed. Another display of low ability, not sure why he was given a new contract.
Popular Post Woodytom
Gabby in 'a run of 2/3 games good form before more of the same dogshit that were used to seeing' shocker. Said a few weeks back that it was shocking he made 3/4 passes in the arsenal game. 3 from kick offs. Not sure how ppl disagreed that it would be a sign of things to come. Were so used to this drivel. The fact he supports villa is meaningless and actually his performances make the cries that it does mean something laughable. Robbing this club of an extortionate weekly wage that has never been deserved IMO. Sorry gabby, just simply not good enough.
Dodgyknees
If he didn't support the club (even if some say he is an Arsenal fan!), he wouldn't be here today.
Morley_crosses_to_Withe
We've had his best performances for another season. See you for a little while next year, Gabby. He's willing to put in a shift, just like any Villa fan would, but he's just not very good. A total pointless waste of a contract. It's time we moved on from players like this.
Jimzk5
I want to know what happened to the player who when played out of position under MON run he's bollocks off down blind alleys and chased down lost causes for the team that got him 3 caps for England. He will never score the 20 goal a season holly grail tally we would love him to get because he is the local lad blah blah blah, but he should be getting into double figures in all competitions at least, instead he seems content with bumbling around the pitch putting very little effort in and then when he does score, he puts he's fingers to he's lips giving it the shhh! Big I am bollocks.

He wasn't that great either tbh. Had good players around him though. Was awful in them 3 caps.
HanoiVillan
Workrate isn't enough, he needs to score some goals. 10 goals in 2 seasons isn't enough return, really he should be producing that every year.
Brumstopdogs
Gabby surely has to be dropped for the next game.
Popular Post pooligan
Listened to the game live and it sounded like Gabby put his usual piss poor performance in.The thought of another four years of him and Lambert well and truly pisses me off
dakid007
This guy is awful would not get in 1 other starting 11 in Prem & he would only get into championship teams because he was premiership player nothing else. I don't think he would do much in league one
TRO
Application is what's missing, he has got pace and how often does he actually execute it to put fear in to the opposition....how often does he work them. We all know his ability to move in to dangerous positions is lacking....the intelligence to move is missing from his game and it causes a burden on others to release the ball. The comments I read on his game against Everton was " running around in circles" In my view he spends much time working.....but to some degree aimlessly.....in boxing they call it "shadow boxing" That's Gabby for me.
HeyAnty
We are bound to have someone on the bench/squad who has the pace that can replace him. Lets face it, the only reason he is on is because his pace on the break. Cant be for anything else. Has to be dropped against QPR.
Demitri_C
has not been good at all, very disappointing gabby
briny_ear
I would start him against QPR. Seeing how vulnerable they were to pace last weekend.
Ads
I would too. He's been poor the past few games, but if we set up correctly his pace should hurt QPR. You never know when you're going to get world beater Gabby and the problem is, neither does Gabby himself.
HanoiVillan
The sad reality check is that he starts because we have no better options.
