Larscapaldi
All I can say for now is that the Belgians will be there! (well 3 of us at least) I'm really looking forward to the game, it's been ages since I've seen the Villa!
pacbuddies
All I can say for now is that the Belgians will be there! (well 3 of us at least) I'm really looking forward to the game, it's been ages since I've seen the Villa! If you happen to stumble across the latest incarnation of Luc Nillis please bring him along with you. Classy player and we could really do with him now. Morpheus
Everton struggling to score at the moment so that might be our saviour, although our three calamities in defence could present them with a present or two? If we play offensively with Ireland and N'Zogbia in the team then we might just get the three points.
Mantis
Very important game. Lose this and it's 5 defeats in a row at home which is just not acceptable whichever way you look at it. Personally I think we'll either lose 1-0 or draw 0-0.

LancsVillan Posted January 8, 2012 Moderator Share Posted January 8, 2012 Strangely I think this game is harder simply because it is as VP. Everyone at the club seems to have a hang up about playing at home these days, fans included. One missed tackle, one misplaced pass and the fans can be heard groaning and getting ready for the next one. Whereas away the players seem more ready to try again, the fans seem more accepting too. Its a real catch 22. 4 straight defeats at home and 3 wins 2 draws in 5 away supports this too. All that said I think we will win this one by two clear goals. Personally I would play 4411 with DB benched, but cannot see AM playing that.

CI
0-2 loss, Moyes was at the Swansea game and will know how easy we are to be beaten He'll set Everton up correctly so that we manage no shots on goal the whole game

KHV
If we lose 5 premier league games in a row he has to be sacked. When was the last time we lost 5 in a row at home?????
OutByEaster? Posted January 9, 2012 Moderator Share Posted January 9, 2012 Selection will be interesting. Given should be fit, is Herd back does anyone know? ----------------------Given------------------------ Hutton-----Collins----------Dunne------Warnock -------------Clark---------Petrov----------------- N'Zogbia-----------Keane------------Agbonlahor ----------------------Bent-------------------------- Something like that? Be a bit harsh on Guzan, Ireland and Albrighton though.

Rob182
Milfners team, with the outfield benchers: Collins, Cuellar, Bannan, Gardner, Bent & Keane. Given in the team if he's fit again.
coda
Probably a draw as Everton are as inconsistent as us. Keane to get 15 mintues at the end.

NormandyVillan
When was the last time we lost 5 in a row at home????? Apparently it was in 1963 and that was Villa's longest ever series of home defeats. If we lose to Everton the all-time record will be equalled. AValon
We're got to turn this crap home record round.....just glad Everton are as bad as us this season. Bore draw, but could fluke a win despite shaky defending again.
