Was just on talk sport, reckons Vlaar is being disrespectful to Villa by calling them a small club. Yes but turning up to training looking like Sherman Klump while pocketing £70k wasn't. He seems obsessed with Bent, even though the club paid him the money, Lambert made him captain and dropped him within weeks and then you wonder why a player loses heart. We have had so much worse, even to an extent Given, who did nothing but pick up 50k pw for two years, yet he comments on Bent (who was our player). Something doesn't add up. Maybe he is Liam Ridgewell. It's hardly uncommon for people to have it in for one particular player. Subtly accusing someone of racism seems a bit unfair. Although the end of his time at Villa was painful, for him to score better than 1 in 3 overall is still a good achievement in my eyes considering some of the ultra defensive football we played whilst he was here. He never disrespected Aston Villa, and despite the huge outlay on him, he is probably one of the main reasons we are currently sat in the Premier League. Good Luck in the future...
