He has that ability to snatch a goal from nowhere & although he still misses a fair amount of sitters that will improve the more he plays, you would hope anyhow. That's news to me Well obviously we didn't actually "break the bank" but we are reducing wages in swathes at the moment & clearing out high earners & we still made a loss of 17.7m i believe? So thats hardly gonna result in us breaking the bank to keep any player is it? & thats what i meant. Because they are a gimme for which ever striker is lucky enough to be designated as penalty taker. Lambert could have just as easily decided Weimann would be our penalty taker and if he had then Weimann's goal stats would be boosted and Benteke's reduced. Goals from open play give you an indication of a strikers ability. Goals from the penalty spot only give you an indication of who was picked to take them, the guy who actually won the penalty had a more important contribution.
