In all my years here that's one thing I've never seen, when I used to be on the gamespot forums there was a "porn suicide" on a monthly basis

I think there were some pretty close calls in the Luverlly Ladies thread back in the wild west days of VT.

Got tickets for the Alan Partridge live show next year in Brum.

Only 1 night in Brum so well chuffed.

Saw this post, got excited, went to buy some. Saw it was £100 a ticket to sit at the back of a stadium at a comedy gig. **** that.

From £40 a ticket on Ticketmaster? Nottingham venue

Mine were £55 and were the more expensive ones. Cheapest was £41 in Brum (Ticket Factory)

Ah! Viagogo are a bunch of profiteering bastards and also much better at search engine optimisation. For £40 I'll be going to the Motorpoint in Nottingham too. Let me know if you fancy a pint, some decent places on the doorstep of the arena

Ah I meant I was looking for you in Nottingham :)

I've got my tickets for the NIA (or whatever stupid name its called now!) in Brum. Load of us from work going. More of less work opposite so it'll be a good night, especially as its a Friday. They're not on general sale until Saturday but priority preference from today, if you are on the mailing list. Birmingham availability is low already!

I'm trying to book for brum but it keeps denying me, saying that tickets aren't on sale until Saturday?

I got priority as I have used Ticket Factory before (for Gervais and Skinner) and on the mailing list.

Have you tried Ticketmaster? I can select tickets and get to the checkout there... which seems strange as they shouldn't be available until Saturday if they are following the same model as Ticket Factory!

Yeah I can select tickets on the ticket factory but as soon as try to finalise it just doesn’t process saying that basket has expired. I thought I had signed up for emails but double checked account and it was off. I suspect the same with ticketmaster but will have a look. Thanks.

edit: those tickets through ticket master are either stupidly expensive or right in the gods. Can’t even reserve those though! Will try another way I think! Thanks anyway

They'll release more tickets on Saturday I reckon. When I was ordering mine earlier there were large sections that you could't purchase in (all the lower area in front of the stage). I assume they will be released from 9am on Saturday for general sale.

probably because I've used them previously , but I got offered pre-sale on Live Nation, O2 , Ticketmaster and Gigs and Tours ... amazed they ever get to general release tbh

O2 had them on sale on Tuesday  .. if you are on O2 its well worth getting the Priority app  ,  its well handy for getting tickets before the general riff raff

Was tempted to see him at London , but just not sure Partridge translates to a 20,000 seater arena  , so decided against it  ..

if they could guarantee 30  mins of him and Ruth Duggan i'd probably change my mind though :D

I'd buy a ticket in Birmingham but you bastards would probably end up going in Manchester. I see how it is.

and we'd also meet up in a steak house in Manchester,  just to be on the safe side  :P

Phoning up EDF yesterday following my unsuccessful attempts to get them to sort out my billing issue online.  They agreed that they should not have estimated my bills seeing as I'm on a smart meter and confirm that they now have the readings.  I looked in my account this morning and my monthly direct debit is going down from £108 a month to £65 :D

Is that for gas and electric? Or is your apartment all electric?

My bill for gas and electric is £55 per month and hasn't changed really in a 5 years. I give readings every few months and the DD may go up a couple of quid either way but nothing major.

Mine is £75 combined for a 4 bed house, 2 kids leaving stuff on all day and people home pretty much all the time.
