Pato leaves Milan for Corinthians. It wasnt that long ago that Pato looked like he was going to be Brazil's star player for the next decade. Then he turned out to be more injury prone than Darren Anderton.

Llorente to Juventus looks a possibility. Juve have to be in the mix for CL glory with him added to their team.

its a Bosman so will be next season though I dont see him fitting into Juventus

There's an interesting dispute developing between Man United and Spurs over the latter signing Zeki Fryers. Apparently they had him on trial at the end of last season, when he was out of contract at United, but if they were to sign him they would have had to pay a fee, which would have been set at a tribunal if it couldn't be agreed. Tottenham said that they couldn't afford him - the figure mooted is £5-6m - and he instead went to Standard, who only had to pay £250,000 in compensation as it's much less when players don't move to other Premier League teams.

Ferguson claims that he predicted at the time that Fryers would move to Spurs in January, and that's what has now happened - for a fee of just £900k. Standard make a profit, Spurs get their man for much less than they would have done otherwise, and United lose out. Ferguson has now called for the transfer to be blocked and an investigation to take place, claiming that there may be evidence that it was planned in the form of mobile phone records and that the deal has "Daniel Levy's fingerprints all over it". United are seeking legal advice to determine whether or not Spurs have broken the rules.

Spurs have claimed that they have acted legitimately, and made their move for Fryers as they became aware of his availability due to Standard's new manager not incorporating him into his plans, and that he was also homesick. United will receive 5% of the fee Spurs have paid, as part of FIFA's 'solidarity contribution mechanism', but I'm sure that will seem like a kick in the teeth at Old Trafford!

I expect that the move will still go ahead, but Ferguson is clearly annoyed with the issue and it'll be difficult for the Premier League to ignore him and Manchester United if they continue to kick up a fuss.

Arsenal spending that kind of money on a 31 year old who has been seriously injured for a year? Seems awfully out of character.

Interesting little deal. Not the first time it has happened either, remember when Boumsong joined Newcastle for £8m six months after signing for Rangers on a free? Then they sold him to Juventus for about £3m after one season. Something stunk there. I'm fairly sure that a lot of Slavic players made their way into Italian football via short stints at "friendly" clubs who were happy to take a cut of a much smaller fee back in the 1990s.

Interesting...

Didn't something like this happen before with United pulling a similar trick?
