Popular Post NurembergVillan Posted September 2, 2013 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) FRAUD? Spanish football writer Andy West: "Some bizarre reports coming out regarding United's collapsed Herrera deal. Apparently a group of men claiming to be United representatives spent an hour at the La Liga offices in Madrid today, but it turns out they had nothing to do with the club and were presumably just attempting to get a cut of the deal in an elaborate fraud. "Must be stressed these are just rumours but the Spanish media have published pictures of men in black suits - supposedly the United "representatives" - coming out of the league offices carrying briefcases. "All very strange and no doubt the truth will come out in the next few days." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/23882862 That's so hilarious it doesn't even seem plausible. Apparently it was some Scottish guy that wasn't Alex Ferguson pretending to be United manager. KennyPowers
I'm surprised at the gushing over the Ozil deal. Very good player, destroyed England at the last world cup but either: a) Arsenal wanted him all along but Real were unwilling to do business until the Bale deal was complete before agreeing to sell him. Arsenal have panicked and broken their transfer record (by £27.5m) on deadline day on a little playmaker (the one position they didn't need) for a huge fee given Real were presumably keen to sell after shelling out for Bale. Plus is his attitude a bit of an issue? He always looks in a mood.

Surely they should have spent the money on a big bad striker or a defensive midfielder though.

Real manager was asked who he wants to keep out of di Maria and Ozil (to fund Bale). He picked di Maria so Ozil on his way. Real's loss is Arsenal's gain.
