YLN Posted January 20, 2010 Share Posted January 20, 2010 madness, we were terrible, dunno how we went through but we have....... **** bein loyal, guzan had a howler, the defence have no confidence with him behind them, friedal 100% in for the final.... nice goal by young, yet again sid comes on when clearly delph or albrighton shouldve been on earlier, delfounseo too, i can only think how frustratin it must be too be a villa sub..... so overall delighted we're at wembley but that was terrible display if im honest. As I said in the match thread the Rovers played very dirty, assaulting Guzan at every turn, but despite that I thought they showed incredible heart and bottle to fight back from 5-2. Milner and Petrov ran the show, but ultimately I thought it was Ashley Young that provided us with those vital sparks missing from our game for some time, and hopefully it is the shot of confidence he needs to get back to his best. The only negative was a poor defensive performance - but Rovers have exposed a weakness in our armour that I suspect the coaching staff would do well to address. Well done though boys.
