The_Rev
And this bit was incorrect: Newcastle are 5th on average number of points per PL season (through 2009-10) Leeds are actually 5th (57.67 points per season), followed by Newcastle (56.625), Blackburn (56), Villa (55.67), QPR (54), Spurs (53), Everton (51.33), and Norwich (50.25) I think this stat proves beyond argument that these kind of stats are bullshit. villianusa
Kaboul is out injured now; I would hate Spurs to go through and injury crisis like we did at start of season. So Bale, VDV (read he limped off after game) and Kabuol, whose next?

Brumstopdogs
Will still be a few seasons before that will change, Villa clearly was a stronger side in the league in the 90s.[/quote] And of course just full stop

Genie
'Arry on the radio last night talking about how he was out having a bit of dinner and Daniel (Levey) rings him up asking if he wants him to sign Charlie Adam so says "yeah go on then". Anyone else just find this weired? I found it a little odd as this is the same story he rolled out with VdV and he's reusing it again. I think he's trying to convince us all that every footballer on the planet dreams of playing for Spurs and the phone rings all day long from agents trying to make their clients dreams come true. Qwpzxjor1
Anyone else think Redknapp was just deliberately trying to unsettle Adam? They made a bid at 7 minutes to 11 apparently.. that's far too late to really get the deal done.. Redknapp then said 'we were all ready to bring Charlie here but someone at Blackpool had gone to bed early'. Kinda stinks of blaming Blackpool for killing his 'dream move' to me.. Although quote what Spurs would gain from doing that I really don't know.. Just seems a little odd to me.
BOF Posted February 1, 2011 Moderator Share Posted February 1, 2011 No matter how serious Spurs were with their bid, I bet it resulted in a chorus of 'eee by gum's in the Blackpool office for the 7 minutes between the offer and the deadline.
