Australia has withdrawn their bid to host the 2034 WC so congratz Saudi Arabia and FIFA. They are now the only option. Bet that hasn't happened many times before.

As much as I want a home World Cup for selfish reasons, surprisingly impressed we read the writing on the wall for a change and didn't flush money down the toilet.

They even left the Rugby World Cup early 😬😬😬

Haha they'll just bang on about the rugby league one, which is a bit like the 'world series' in the states in that Australia are the only country who care half a shite about rugby league (generally speaking)

2034 WC stadium King Fahd International Stadium is about a 40 minutes walk away from Deera Square in central Riyadh where they hold public beheadings. Most of them for non violent crimes.

But yeah, alcohol.

Maybe FIFA can pencil in a double header. Maybe bring along a sponsor or two

Todays beheading is brought to you by Budweiser

Think of the plush toys they could fleece on the tourists. Say hello to the official WC mascot "Choppy"

Saudi state oil giant to become Fifa’s biggest-paying sponsor

Deal could be worth up to £84 million a year and comes after nation was given free run to host 2034 World Cup

The Saudi Arabian state-owned oil giant Aramco is set to complete a significant sponsorship deal with Fifa after the country was confirmed as the sole bidder for the 2034 World Cup.

Aramco, the world’s most profitable company, is expected to become one of Fifa’s top-tier partners in a relationship that is set to last until 2034. Industry experts believe the deal could be worth up to $100million (about £84 million a year) to football’s world governing body by the time Saudi Arabia hosts the World Cup, making it Fifa’s biggest-paying sponsor.

Saudi Arabia’s web of influence across international sport was highlighted in a report by the Denmark-based Play The Game organisation this month, which identified the Gulf kingdom being behind 314 separate sports sponsorships, more than 100 of which are international.

As if I needed more reasons to not spend a penny on football. Everything about this sport off the pitch is **** disgusting.

Soft run with Qatar - see how it goes. Viewing figures would’ve still been incredible so we’re good to go with Saudi Arabia.

Everyone moans about it, but very few bother doing anything about it at all.
