City might not even need to beat spurs if Arsenal lose to United away In that scenario, assuming City beat Fulham on Saturday, they'd go into the Spurs game two points ahead of Arsenal. They'd need a win to secure the title or a draw/defeat takes it into the last day.

We blew our chance to dictate our own destiny today. Anything can happen. That's just a fact. We need a win, more than just for our CL spot. We need to finish this season well to help us prepare mentally over the summer, too, don't you think? I don’t think the end of this season will have any impact at all mentally on the summer or next season. Players are dead on their feet and injuries to key players have been ridiculous. I don’t think they care how they get over the line and neither do I. Edited May 5 by Vive_La_Villa

Hard to predict goal difference with Spurs playing Burnley and Sheffield United. Spurs have a Burnley who have something to play for though next weekend. Let's hope Liverpool keep this at least s 4-0 **** me are you still at it ! 1

I still remember May 1981. I know we’re Villa but it’d be quite a collapse to not even manage zero points from our remaining games… 1

However, I can see why someone might have a concern. At the time of writing we have a better goal difference of 10. Assume we lose both our games, that would be down to 8 (could be lower). Spurs win two and draw one. They hammer Sheffield United 5-0 and Burnley 4-0. Both of those aren’t that unrealistic in my opinion. Again, I think we’re going to finish 4th. Can’t see this Spurs team hammering anyone. only us Edited May 5 by Vive_La_Villa

Could all be bloody over this evening if we didn’t prat about! We're so shite that we're 7 points clear of Spurs and 13 points clear of Chelsea and Man United. Its annoying. Popular Post Xela
Luckily Spurs seem to ending the season poorly. Could have secured it today, so am a bit disappointed. But, we're still 7 points ahead and there is one less game for Spurs to catch us.

Thank you. It does slightly irk me the “we’re terrible when it matters” sentiment. If we reach a cup final and lose it’s “argggghhhh, when it matters we didn’t turn up…” Did the semi final not matter? Cos if you don’t win the semi final, the importance of the final is kinda moot. Likewise winning away at Arsenal as you say, I’m pretty sure that mattered. People seem to ignore “important” games that we do win or retrospectively decide that they weren’t as important as the really important game we just lost.

Let's hope Brighton ain't lost us 4th this season. In all seriousness, Spurs need to beat City, an as has already been said, I doubt that is happening, especially 2 days after playing Burnley, an they can even give Tottenham a game I've no doubt.
