Not on him. Those defensive errors are footballers forgetting how to play.

Yep, 60% possession and 17 shots at home, there's a decent argument for his football working

The only goal I'd question is the over playing for the first

he clearly tells them to pass around the back, that first goal definitely is on him

Which isn't a bad idea, it creates space. Players need to be aware and know when to play it and when to not.

Because they’ve both played very well for the past 2 months and we have a £30m centre half coming back from injury?

And this is exactly the kind of logic that holds us back from improving as a club.

Not to mention, Carlos suffered a very serious knee injury at an age where that kind of thing can slow a player down dramatically and affect their overall game. He might never look like a "£30m centre half" ever again.

To be fair you get **** all for 30 million these days anyway.

Yep, he can coach them to do and want them to do it but that's merely from a Villa perspective in training

Emi still has to look at Leicester and how they shape up and how they press and then decide to kill the instruction, has to be smarter

What?

January is a tough window to improve as a squad with teams unwilling to let players go. Im all for improving the centre half position but it’s further down on our priority list and it might be something we look to do in the Summer.
