What exactly is meant by "Historic" in this context?

unless we know the full facts, its hard to make a meaningful comment.

Tweets made from 2012-17, hired by Villa in 2019. How did the club not vet her social media?

Anti-Islam tweets. Not a good look for your local Muslim outreach efforts, which by virtue of the position itself, is clearly something the club is at least paying lip service to. But by retaining her, perhaps it is manifestly just lip service.

Presumably nothing *too* bad if the club isn't sacking her.

I think it's quite poor journalism to simply state they've seen the tweets and they "could be construed as islamophobic". When did Journalists decide their role is to obfuscate the facts and tell us how to feel about something they won't publish?

Precisely. Plus, following on from Tro's comments, unless we know the full facts it's still impossible to comment.

Under what authority are the FA even allowed to comment publicly on the conduct of an employee at a privately owned business? Particularly when this occurred before they were appointed to their current role.

Massive overreach.

They felt that vetting a new employee's social media is the role of the EDI officer, and they didn't have one.

So will she review her own appointment now then? Tricky start to say the least.

Straight out of the Tory party play book by the sounds of it 😀
