The Game's Good

Okay, I’m kinda proud of this one, as it’s my local club and I helped rig the banner. Vålerenga legend has ALS and was honoured at half time today:

Watching the game of the day on sky sports gives me anxiety.

Every pass is a channel ball.

The amount of overhit simple passes.

It is so frantic.  It is so random.

Every first touch by a defender is a clearance.

Nobody will ever under any circumstances pass the ball sideways.

If you've completed 3 passes in a row and not got anywhere then someone needs to hit the big man.

...and these are good teams, and this is like 15 years ago. This was 2007 today.

It's awful.

Soccer aid raising over 8m for causes that desperately need it is obviously quite good.

As long as noone tells me half the money goes towards funding the event, or that it doesn't actually make it where it should I'll use it to forget the cancer of Man City for a day.

This lad gets interviewed ahead of a Naaarch game, gets pelters on Twitter because, well, people are nobs. Within 24 hours the football community flood the post with positive and encouraging messages. As if that wasn’t enough, it becomes clear he is running a marathon for charity and he’s now had £23,000 in sponsorship. Restores your faith a bit.

This is classy 👏👏👏

At 9am this Saturday The

will open early at his request with a special treat for Millers Fans. The first 600 pints (1 per person) are being paid for by Viktor as a THANK YOU (Not Goodbye) for your support. Each drink comes with a card and a message written by Viktor, to the fans that you can save forever.

This is something special, from someone special, so get down early, grab a beer and raise a glass to our Viking. There will also be a signed Viktor shirt on display behind the bar so dig deep and buy some raffle tickets please, all proceeds go to the Rotherham Hospice.

This is an unbelievable gesture and show of appreciation for the support given to Viktor from the #rufc fans Special shout out to Brett @ BSB Printing for the cards and the team at Cutlers for helping put this on.

I remember when in Sweden and talked about Villa, a lot of Villa fans loved this guy. Not sure if he did something with fans there but thought was incredible as dont think he had ever even made our bench

He went above and beyond when meeting up with the swedish villans during his time with us. Top bloke. His dad is proper Villa so the upbringing shows :)

Marco Reus buying the 25.000 yellow wall fans a beer after his last game at €4.90 a pop. Obviously not a massive outlay for him but still a nice gesture.
