Every movie is the best ....and then .....megh......sure if it's shite they can always

Recast,Reboot,origin story, alternate timeline etc

Yep, just another superhero reboot, it might be alright but hardly a new concept. Surprised it merits its own thread as no one has actually seen it yet in this country. Remember all the bollocks years ago with the reports of people running out of the cinema scared stiff at the original Alien. I suspect it wont be a patch on the Nolan films But will reserve judgement until I’ve seen it

It has received some less enthusiastic reviews. It’s not all been positive. The running time seems to be the main bone of contention.

It’s does seem pretty consistent among reviewers that Pattison, Kravitz and Dano are pretty good.

I hope it’s good. I always liked the Riddler when I was a kid, for whatever reason. Not sure if I’ll go and watch this, I haven’t gone to the cinema to see something I actually want to watch for years.

As for this film receiving it’s own thread, maybe in time it could act as the general DC thread.

I do have my reservations about Robert pattison playing batman though.

Why? He's an excellent actor who has made some terrific movies and put in some great performances since his Twilight days.

Neither of which (Ultimate Cut for BvS and Snyder Cut in the latter case) are that bad. They aren't great either but the backlash was over the top. The warehouse scene in BvS might be the best Batman action scene filmed yet.

Yeah they're fine to be honest.

But I wouldn't class them as essential viewing before the new one

Can we not discuss something before it happens?

Better close all those transfer speculation threads and future match threads

Also, what's this got to do with the price of fish?

Oh no it's not like they're necessary watches. They're at absolute best decent action movies with weak scripts that are painfully serious. But there's good stuff in them.

I've no doubt this will be better than either, but that's not the highest bar... I will be surprised in there's a better action sequence than the warehouse scene though.

the world would be a better place to be fair.

going back on topic, 100% going to watch and the reviews ive seen have been largely favourable, saying how it holds its own vs the dark knight etc

Hype of a film not yet released or yet seen en masse on these shores

Justice for every marvel film thats been confided to one thread!

I look forward to seeing Pattinson smash it, although I thought Affleck should have carried on. The DCU is just one huge mess with all these reboots and recasts.

I haven't seen a Twilight so I only know Pattinson as a top drawer actor.😃

I mean you could play Batman bingo with virtually every adaptation since Adam West inhabited the bat cave

This version is so much darker than the last

Gotham is far darker than the last one

So and so’s Batman more psychotic and darker than the last one

This version is the best yet

So-and-so’s Joker Is the best version ever

The Batmobile is the best version ever

over use if the word ‘gritty’

It was not a real shark got sprayed with anti shark repellent etc etc

Now best ever Batman pinballs tied into a film release, that’s a conversation

It looks fun and doesn't seem to take itself seriously. Pattinson also looks like he'll be my favourite Batman of the lot. He looks unhinged. Batman is one of the most boring heroes, so this take on the character is welcome. I might just go see this.

Every time you look in the mirror you see someone that watched a Twilight film.

You should be knee deep in broken glass.

It's a slippery slope to a Police Academy 4 thread.

If ever there was a movie that deserves it's own thread it's surely the upcoming White Man Can't Jump reboot.
