Happy or not happy? Surely still need a winger and a CM?

How would we give game time to Wilson, Watkins, Wesley and Samatta?

Watkins on the wing,  Wilson first choice,  Samatta backup.  Wesley, when he returns, ousts samatta and maybe Wilson also. I dont see watkins as a striker if we sign him,  but tbh I don't see us signing him if we get Wilson

I watched a lot of Brentford matches last season and Rico Henry is the fastest LB I've seen. Sometimes he's almost too quick as he can arrive in front of a striker in a dangerous position without the composure to dispossess him. He's good going forward though. If 7 million was an accurate figure he would make a great signing to battle with target for LB, but I reckon he would be 10 mil with a couple of mils as add ons..

Enormous waste to buy Watkins to play as a wide forward, just buy a specialist instead!

Leeds sign an older player who scores less and it's a brilliant signing. We have potential to sign Wilson with a decent premier league scoring record and a decent career scoring record (better than Rodrigo) and it's underwhelming.

Literally cannot win.

Not for me. I'm actually happy Leeds spent so much on him as it looks a bad deal to me.

Having high xG with no goals means he can't finish rather than being unlucky.

Or he was unlucky, I can remember a couple of instances where the keeper pulled off a really good save which should have gone in.

They wouldn't be in one basket though in that scenario you would have one new striker in and Wesley will be available before Christmas, you would have extra cash to improve somewhere else in the 11 and still have the amazing duo of Samatta and Davis

If you'd have said to me at the start of the window we would be sensible with our transfers, and look for good deals and spend approx. £72mill on:

Romero  (£8mill)

Cash (£16mill)

Watkins (£28mill)

Wilson (£20mill)

I'd have said no f***ing way, our club would not be that stupid. Absolutely baffling.

Coming To America Bar GIF

Come on its hardly that difficult.  Less than 1 in 2 in the Championship.  Lewis Grabbon got 20 goals last season.  Troy Deeley will probably get close to 20 next season.

I think there is potentially a top striker in Davis if he can get a run of games and keep injury free.

Brewster can be loaned for a start.

Why would you want to help develop plop's players?

We need to stay well clear from any loan deal if there isn't an option to buy or extend the loan.

Ideally you don't want to.
Ideally you want to buy your own player.
This was a suggestion for a scenario where there is no good option for a striker and we save our money to spend elsewhere on the 11.
