Match Thread: Villa v Bournemouth

Billings should have been sent off three times already. We have killed ourselves in this game. Much easier said than done but cut out the mistakes and we can be okay. It's a big if though. Hard to get out of the bad habits and losing when it gathers momentum. Some decent play though. After his cock up, Luiz looked very good. Lots of bad luck in the game for us again with the deflected second, the blatantly missed sending off more than once and the Trez miss near the end. Still in it, but we need to score next.

Individual errors in own half. We saw it last time against Spurs as well.

Sadly it's early signs of a relegation team. Need to keep supporting them as much as we can now.

True. Individual errors can easily pile up.

I am, because the referee and VAR are both fuching blind or just corrupt. No way he avoids a yellow for that challenge on Grealish immediately after being booked. The ref actually checked with VAR. Then, he makes another foul. He won't start the second half because Howe will know he's walking a tightrope.

It certainly smells off doesn't it.

I think it's all Prem newcomer nerves, the expectations are high as anything now they are here, they just need to get over it all and they will be fine.

Mings is good and I really want him to succeed here but man does he need to stop turning his back on shots and start fronting up to them.

Agree, thats 2 weeks in a row we've conceded by him blocking shots halfheartedly

We started too nervy. The midfield McGinn apart have been woeful. Including Grealish who need to centre himself in the pitch more imo. He's wandering everywhere and doing nothing while McGinn is trying to do everything. I feel for Luiz a little as it's been a baptism of fire but he has got better as the half has worn on. Wes needs help and the midfield especially El Ghazi and Trez need to support better. Trez has looked lively but Ghazi has been dreadful.  IMO both the wide players need to squeeze in as we are out numbered and out fought in the centre.

Biggest difference is the physicality again. This is going to be the biggest factor this season with regards to us staying up. We are just getting bullied.
