I assume if the Prem league season does restart the four teams with a game in hand will play those fixtures first before the rest play.

Is that true?

I thought we would pick up from where we left off? Meaning we'll start at home against Chelsea.

Doesn't look like it , our first game still scheduled to be Chelsea.

Todays talk is L1 are going to expand the play offs to finish the season so the whole season doesn't have to be played , meanwhile l2 is trying to get around no relegation but restructuring with the national league to create 2 leagues , north and south

Wayne Rooney comparing normal workplaces to football, saying social distancing isn't possible in a game of football.

But the difference is in other workplaces they aren't tested weekly. Players and staff will be tested 2 hours before the game and numerous times every week.

Do they even realize how protected they are and will be compered to the rest of the society?

Yet with the same testing in Germany players don't sit on bench together and don't celebrate goals

What they relize is they are getting tested multiple times when most people can't get one

The issue really is we have the FA saying rules need to be followed then we have different leagues coming up with different rules.

I agree and as stated before we have FIFA, UEFA, FA, EFL and PL competing for their slice of the pie and not giving an inch.  No strategy, no discussion, different rules, different timelines and no cohesion.  Whatever happens, this should never happen again, there should be an overarching committee with representatives from each of these governing bodies to co-ordinate all this.  You think that FIFA or UEFA in this region would be that but nooooo.....

League has first priority anything else is expendable.

It's not a list of priorities - it's lots of different lists - it's competing bodies with agreements already in place.

If we take the League Cup as the most likely thing to go - iif the Premier league instigate this, they'd need to compensate Caribou to the tune of the £6m they've put in for sponsorship next season, plus some form of compensation on top of that, then they'd have to pay off the existing TV arrangements, Wembley's money for hosting the final, the FA for the money that the tournament brings them, they'd have to agree with UEFA where the additional Europa League place would now go or whether it would be forfeited for the season and they'd have to compensate EFL clubs for the loss of match day revenues. The FA would also want guarantee's on future tournaments from the Premier League and you'd need to ensure compensation for radio rights, pitch sponsors, shirt sponsors and those companies who are affiliated with clubs that are playing less games.

For the Premier League the cost would most likely come in at well over £1m per club and we've already seen the degree to which clubs aren't prepared to give up revenue.

Time and the volume of football to be played are becoming as big an issue for football as how to play games as we come out of lockdown is.

It's a mess.

I think they will be allowed to play weakened teams in the cups, possibly even enter the 21s and play 2 midweek games with different squads. It's probably the only realistic way to do it.

Why would Caribou agree to that?

As sponsors, it'a likely that they have a contract that means they can go to the FA and insist that teams are fulfilling their obligations.

I think they will be allowed to play weekend teams in the League Cup if they find several million pounds to keep Caribou happy.

Sorry sidcow, I don't know what you mean.

Negotiating a different deal with who?

Instead of having to pay back millions upon millions to cancel the competition full stop, pay back some of the money only to allow weakened teams.  Maybe an agreement of x number of players with minimum x number of premier league appearances.

Allows the competition to proceed whilst also freeing up game time without the full loss of income.

Next season is not going to be played in its entirety without some creative thinking and give and take from all parties.  Its just not feasible otherwise.

Great news on the morale boost for the nation; all 92 games will be televised, with a massive five whole games free to air.

Each of the remaining 92 Premier League matches will be broadcast by one of four providers when football returns under 'Project Restart'.

Sky and BT will continue to screen the most games while Amazon are also expected to show a handful.

And free-to-air top-flight action is set to return as the BBC prepares to broadcast up to five matches.

Most clubs have nine games left while four teams have 10 and they are set to be played over a six-week period.

Of the remaining games, 47 have already been allocated for TV and another 32 will be shared between Sky and BT Sport.

So, 79 games for Sky and BT, five for normal telly and eight for the internets.

Oh, yes, that's what I was suggesting - the Premier league will need to pay off those involved in the League Cup if they want to put the kids out.

Thus I’m then waiting for Sky/BT sport to charge us extra over and above our current subscriptions....some kind of Main Event thing, just to rub it in some more.
