It hurts my brain It’s the slight misalignment of the segments, you see where they’re going right to left? There’s no misalignment showing a sliver of blue under the yellow at the top of the circle. When they switch to going up and down, there’s a little bit of the opposite colour shown underneath the other. It’s a variety of where the misalignment is shown that changes the effect. i think it imitates what you see in motion with frame rates where you see a delayed frame (more pronounced in progressive scanning instead of interlaced) implying motion where there isn’t any.
