You have to be at least rich enough in terms of cash flow to be able to pay your tax bills, then the club has to be self sufficient. After that the playing staff have to be good value across the squad and the club has to be commercially savvy to get the money in to improve it. Andrew (not Albert!) was 2nd in line once but as soon as William came along he was edged out of second spot and currently stands at 7th. A bit like our push for automatic promotion last season.
