As of September 2016, his net worth was estimated to be $5.3 billion

This is one of the two things I wanted to know about him. The second is how much of that money is he going to invest into the club. Money buys success, and we need both.

Today the club have announced "significant investment" from a company called NSWE, headed by Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.

It is assumed that they have bought a controlling stake in order to ease the club's cashflow problems and will eventually complete a full takeover of the club, although this is yet to be confirmed.

Here is some information about Nassef -

Welcome to the Club, Nassef.

Please don't be another false dawn.  This club is at the heart of football.  We deserve better than we've had of late.

Sixth richest African; verifiable Economics degree; lives in London.

I like him already.

Welcome.

Seem successful (they all seem that at the start) businessman, with no football experience. Within 6 months they will realise how ridiculous football is a business- a easy way to lose millions if you are not careful.

The difference is that this guy can afford to lose millions, it's a drop in the ocean to him.
