TheAuthority Posted January 3, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted January 3, 2018 Hats of to Palace & Woy. They are looking ok now after losing their 1st 7 and not scoring a goal. Pardew hasn't won in 8 games now. How long will he get?
Mark Albrighton Posted January 13, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted January 13, 2018 Two wins separate 11th and 19th. As usual it’s more interesting at the bottom of the table.
VillaChris
Think Brighton might be that team that look safe and then fall in the final two months. Stopped scoring goals and their last two games are Liverpool and Man. United.
villan-scott Posted January 22, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted January 22, 2018 Only 6 points separate Watford in 10th and Swansea in 20th now. Mental.

VillaChris
Fair play to Swansea, look like they're doing same as last season when they beat Liverpool in January and that was the catalyst for survial. Could well need 40 points to stay up now. Going to be brutal.

HanoiVillan
It doesn't feel like more than about three weeks ago that Other Football was full of people saying Carlos Carvalhal was just the most ridiculous appointment. This happens an awful lot, where people assume that where you were when you were sacked from your last job is your 'peak' and you should have to move (preferably far) down the pyramid next. VillaChris
Bournemouth's inevitable slide to relegation continues I see....... They'll finish top half. Again.
Mark Albrighton Posted February 4, 2018 VT Supporter Share Posted February 4, 2018 Just had a little look at the table and was a little surprised that Huddersfield are 19th. Still loads of teams in the mix, but their final four games are against Chelsea, Everton, Man City and Arsenal.

VillaChris
He needs to go somewhere like Everton, do well there and then maybe he'd be a contender like Moyes was.

Zatman
last season they were the only mid-table team after this stage that wanted to win games as well so should be OK

Bring in Alex Pritchard. I think they will go down unless he proves pivotal.
Zatman
Dont really have a forward. They spent good money on Mounie and Depoitre who havent delivered
mykeyb
Looking at our near neighbours run in and I cannot see them getting more than 33 points, maybe 36 if Palace are safe the last game of the season.
rubberman
It really is insanely tight this year. Will be a nervy run in for a lot of sides.
Czechlad
Just realised that the three clubs that went up last season are in danger of going down. Huddersfield are in 19th. Newcastle sit 1 point above relegation, and Brighton are 3 points above. What is concerning is how Newcastle stormed the championship and are struggling in the premier league. Thankfully this is where having an owner like Tony will be as much a help to us as having an owner like Ashley has been a hindrance to the Mags. If we’re in that position, of course.
