VillaChris
Who's getting relegated then? Pick 3/10. Anyone who lazily suggests the three promoted teams or Burnley gets banned. Only established premier league teams allowed. Have to say everytime I've seen Everton this season they look as bad as we did in 15/16 so them going down has to be a serious possibility. Swansea look knackered aswell, lost 5/6 this season and have lost so much quality in Sigurdsson and Llorente. Think Palace will beat a fair few around them so wouldn't rule them out just yet. VillaJ100
Palace will run it close but I think they have too much of a gap. They need like top 7 form to survive. Everton will survive. I pick Palace, Swansea and West ham.
HanoiVillan
Huddersfield, Swansea, Palace. Huddersfield's lack of quality will tell in the end. Swansea have wasted a ton of winnable home games. And Palace are too far behind. But I'd be shitting bricks if I were an Olbiyun fan as well.
bobzy
Bournemouth, Swansea and West Brom. I don’t know why, but I think Palace will get out of it.
PaulC
Palace will need at least 34 pts from 27 games. A massive turn around in form. Cants see it. Swansea and West Brom I think will join them. Huddersfiled have a few points in the bag and think they will pick up enough points to be safe. HanoiVillan
I have to admit that West Ham being on the cusp of appointing David Moyes is making me reconsider my earlier selection.

Bournemouth winning away to Stoke and Newcastle recently not good enough for you? They've had a tough start...played Chelsea, Arsenal, Man. City and Arsenal already and lost three of those by a single goal. I think they're improving and will win enough games against teams around them like they've done in last few weeks. Think they'll be comfortably clear of bottom 3.

Not sure if you saw either game, but Stoke battered Bournemouth - but lost. Newcastle should’ve beaten them yesterday (or whenever it was) rather than end up losing. Hit the post, goal harshly disallowed for offside, missed maybe 4 other good chances. It is the scoreline that matters, but Bournemouth have no spark. I think their first 20 minutes against Man City has been as well as they’ve played all season. Aside from that, in the “tight” games you mentioned, they got completely outplayed and created nothing. As I say, no spark. Same with Swansea. Same with West Brom. The other sides have something special in them (Palace - Zaha, West Ham - Lanzini). Everton and Stoke should be strong enough to avoid a relegation battle. The only team I’d change would be Palace - purely because they’ve left themselves a lot to do after an easy-on-paper start to the season. Just got a gut feeling with them though.... One For The Road
Palace look doomed and Swansea will probably go with them. From there I dont know who else will go down. I hope its not Albion as its bad enough having to play Blues twice a season, never mind that lot. Stoke maybe?
rjw63
As long as it's the Midlands' Self Professed Biggest And Best Club (yawn) I don't care about the others. Although Wet Spam for the new stadium/Pornodwarf connection.
VT Supporter Rodders Posted November 6, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted November 6, 2017 Swansea don't seem to have any momentum or goals in them, not sure how they aren't in the bottom 3 already tbh. I won't write off Palace just yet, Think they do have a manager who can grab them enough points potentially. West Ham and West Brom look good bets, the former would be **** delicious as I cannot stand their fan base.
Czechlad
Palace's team isn't bottom of the table bad. I don't get it. Benteke is coming back, so I think this month is crucial for them. If they can pick up some points, then they have a chance. Swansea look poor. They keep selling their players and not replacing them properly. Moderator BOF Posted November 6, 2017 Moderator Share Posted November 6, 2017 One of the managers recently said the relegation battle involves everyone from 8th down, and I kind of agree. Matches involving sides outside of the elite group are very unpredictable at the moment. The problem the likes of Palace have is that you can make a case for everyone above them staying up too. There is no team completely safe down there, nor is there anyone clearly adrift from a quality point of view. I do wonder how well Bournemouth will last the course this season. They're struggling to score and the decent run they're on now only barely has them treading water above the dropzone. I also think Palace need to get that gap down quickly i.e. get the hard miles in sooner rather than later. You don't want to be bridging a chasm going into March and April when results tend to go a bit mental anyway, and the psychology of the gap can eat into players' minds. I'll go with Palace, Bournemouth & West Ham. Although the latter is more out of hope than expectation. Bringing in Moyes could be disastrous for them. I think the Baggies are too experienced to go down. They'll out-fox enough sides to stay up. I hope Huddersfield's bubble doesn't burst catastrophically, and I think Wagner has enough about him to prevent that. Although I do think they'll go close. They'll take some hidings over the season. But yeah, other than the top sides, that league really is much of a muchness. If only we could get back there, I don't think it'd take much to do quite well.

Bournemouth played very well for twenty minutes at Stoke and then sat back as a team away from home 2 up is entitled to do. I agree they were lucky first half at Newcastle (Gayle was onside) but second half they were killing Newcastle on the break. Pugh should've scored before they did. They also created some good chances at Spurs. Big problem is Josh King hasn't turned up this season considering how good he was last year. They've also struggled to fit Defoe in the team so far but at some point one of those will have a good goalscoring run and that will get them some more wins. Their home form has been abysmal, lost to Watford, Leicester, Newcastle and Brighton already this season so they're going to be playing most of the top 10 at home in the second half of the season. Really don't see them getting close to another 30 points unless they re-sign Llorente and Sigurdsson in January which obviously isn't going to happen. They'd be my cert to go down ahead of Palace. Two other places still open.
VillaChris
Bournemouth's next 5 btw: Bournemouth v Huddersfield Swansea v Bournemouth Bournemouth v Burnley Bournemouth v Southampton Palace v Bournemouth 10 points from that lot.
