Why not make the sub at halftime, by his reaction it seems Snodgrass wasn’t injured. Is this Bruce making another of his masterful man management decisions to show 1) He’s in charge and 2) None of this is his fault?

It's what you do when you don't 'do tactics'. You panic and make a random change in the hope it will magically change the outcome.

One of those days. Can't see any way back, which isn't really good enough.

Few players have been extremely poor. Hogan, Snodgrass and Adomah.

We were unlucky with the goal, but it could have been prevented. Regardless, the tactics are completely wrong, and someone picked up a concern about 4-4-2 which I completely agreed with, I don't think it's the right formation for us.

Wednesday, have been extremely impressive to be honest, but we should be doing much better ourselves.

The only thing Bruce has got right is replacing Snodgrass, although Adomah is lucky it wasn't him who has been much worse. I'd probably take off Hogan for Grealish now too. Once again absent, in our team. He is clearly not suitable for our side and I don't feel confident seeing him in a Villa shirt again.

The steve bruce way, win one, draw one and be satisfied, then promptly lose one, draw one, and win again - a glorious recipe for mid table nothingness. We have no hope if we cannot string successive victories together for a sustained period of time. I couldn't give a shit about injuries - given all the investment in the side, they should be able to cope, that they can't is entirely the responsibility of the clearing in the woods in the dug out

Hourihane is not helping today. Not offering an option, not pressing enough - very poor so far.

All poor so far - was a cracking goal though in the first minute -, since then we look shellshocked

Not sure I’d use the last sub this early - wait till an hour - wouldn’t be Jedi either for me

Well we need some sort of tactical change then, they are getting way too much space to play.

We need to turn up the intensity.

Snodgrass is angry at being subbed and O'Hare should come on.
