Definition of socialism: a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Big difference between ownership and regulation, surely?

Not that I'd disagree with a broad definition of socialism. It's been used by, and for, so many different movements and theories throughout history I don't think any one particular kind can claim ownership to the word.

Not charismatic enough.  Not a leader. Unelectable

All well and good, but half of those people are probably 16-18, part of Momentum, brought there in buses and given a free meal just like Theresa has her blue buses full of young Tories going up and down the country. I'm too old to believe in shit like that.

I'm posting this here because the Tories have announced their plans to ditch the final implementation of Leveson in their manifesto.

So, the guy who stopped that malware attack two weeks ago, posts anonymously on the internet, and didn't want his name or address published for understandable security reasons, so naturally:

Still, whatever keeps Paul Dacre on side is the national priority, right?

"A government that cares about sport culture and the arts and gives you space to play and rehearse your music"

Or

"Strong and stable leadership"

If Labour get near then it is down to a positive hopeful vision and the absolute failings of a robotic pseudo Tory May.

i'll be honest and say i havent looked at the details but this end the 0 hour contract stuff, when i was a yoof working at GAME i was on a 4 hour contract, i got paid for about 40 hours a week on average (how many i actually worked was shocking)

what are they actually saying? all these retail companies will start giving out contracts that reflect the hours of a full time job? or that in reality very little will change, 0 will turn to 4, no one is surviving off 4 hours a week either

As others have said, it's just a random concert in the Tranmere Rovers ground. I'm assuming the Libertines are Corbyn/Labour fans so let him on stage. Easy to mistake it as some organised rally though.

What makes this remarkable is 1 how confident he is that he can go into the middle of a rock concert and not get booed off stage and 2 how a random quadrant of gig attendees are chanting his name by the end.

Yes it doesn't translate into votes but he's obviously moved from the fans bubble into generally popular, at the expense of May, who's giving everything she's got to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

It'll be because even though the Telegraph, Mail, Sun and Express are holding up their end of the bargain, May and cohorts are pointing a machine gun at their feet and holding down the trigger.

I remember seeing one of these in a picture with mrs may in, looked quite a big crowd till another photo was leaked to show it was actually about 20 party members photographed creatively to give the appearence of a big crowd.

All he was doing was giving a little history lesson in how football and music came from the working class, and talking that up as a good thing. He is running a positive campaign, entrenched in the British way of life and culture. It's the sort of thing Farage thought he had cornered, and like you, I look at that appearance at Tranmere and get a real sense that he is getting confident. Then the polls down to 9% difference from what 24% when May called the whole thing? Labour don't need to win this, they just need to return May with the same majority and her own party will do the rest.
