I see massive amounts of spending that has to and has every chance of stimulating the economy. If it doesn't we're all **** because Tory austerity has done this to the national debt

I see their values as very modern because Keynesian based socialism is very progressive. I see Tory austerity and cutting back as very short-sighted and illogical

Unless they eliminated the deficit immediately, debt was always going to go up.  That was nigh on impossible unless we had the mother of all austerity strategies.  The trend seems to be that the debt is still going up but gradually slowing down.

Yes, the deficit caused the debt to carry on going on up, but QE and austerity were supposed to bring it down quicker than this. The indefatigable truth is that while making 'tough decisions' to cut anything and everything that isn't giving money to rich people, they've still had the debt raising on average £120b a year. In a few years the deficit will be clear and the debt can start coming down, but at a huge cost to society and with a wealth gap never seen before.

Same. I remember the NHS being fit for purpose. Seemed a prosperous time all round. Now no-one has any money and everyone hates each other. Welcome to Tory Britain.

more revisionism ...

Surveys have repeatedly shown that when asked what they think of the NHS people reply it is in crisis.

everyone doesn't hate each other , you've had examples in recent weeks of what people do for each other when nutjobs go on the rampage ... when said nutjobs go on the rampage people are falling over themselves decreeing how it's only a small % who are to blame and that most muslims are decent folk ... seems that courtesy doesn't extend to your fellow countrymen ?

that wasn't what the OP said though , unless I've misread it  .. it just seemed to be blaming everything on Tory bankers  ..  I can possibly understand a line blaming Bankers , but they aren't Tory bankers  ...

That is exactly what they are. Supporters, members, financial backers, club members, cronies. The very essence of the party, with deeply vested interests.

You're arguing my own experiences as revisionism?

Dude, seriously. Get a grip.

apart from when Blair and Brown went a courting the city , gave them light touch regulation , knighthoods to bankers , with deeply vested interests  etc .

they are bankers , self serving ones , not the sole preserve of any particular party , they will switch sides quicker than you can say money

you didn't state it was your own experience you posted " I remember the NHS being fit for purpose" .. I showed some evidence that it wasn't

I'm confused. Are you actually saying I didn't say this:

I remember the NHS being fit for purpose

You do realise that 'remembering' something implies it's my own experience?

Don't worry about the apology, I'll let you off this time.

Other way round. The bankers were, are, and always will be Tories. Blair could only court them by being a pseudo-Tory himself.

it's close enough  , what do I win ? :)

Eh? Isn't that the opposite?

There's an intentional double negative at the start of what you quoted.

heck , I listened to Ash and sung "I remember the time I knew a Girl From Mars " , that doesn't make it a personal experience  ...

as written , alongside the other sweeping statement it just looked like reminiscing of the good old days , so if it was your own personal experience then far be it for me to doubt it  ,  I've used the NHS this year and it was top notch , that doesn't mean that my experience is proof of it being better than it was under previous governments either ..The Beeb web link serves as an example that all wasn't rosy in the NHS under the Blair time despite the money being chucked at it

You're not seriously arguing the NHS isn't worse now than was in 2007 ?

I know you're a keen Tory - But Id back off on that one if I were you.

Election days are a bit like watching the FA Cup Final a couple of weeks ago, I dont like either side and dont support either by choice but to make it interesting I will pick the side I like least to support.

It absolutely does imply a personal experience.

Well done, you lasted a day.
