NurembergVillan Posted January 2, 2017 Author Moderator Share Posted January 2, 2017 The 9th Day of Crapness, and never has a fall from grace been so obvious. A player for the opposite flank to Tonev, and one who 10 years earlier was everything Tonev wasn't. Sadly, by the time he got to Villa Park on his inflated contract, chauffeur driven helicopter, Michelin starred personal chef, and chateau within the grounds of Bodymoor Heath, the only thing that remained was his trademark flowing locks. And even they were looking a bit threadbare. Like a corked bottle of vintage wine, an overcooked filet steak, or a classic car left to rot in a back garden, it can only be Robert Pires...
Popular Post NurembergVillan Posted January 3, 2017 Author Moderator Popular Post Share Posted January 3, 2017 The 10th day of Crapness, and onto the strikers. We've had a few crap strikers over the PL era, and some of them have gone down in folklore - Bosko Balaban, although he only played 8 times for us, and Gilles de Bilde who only played 4 times on loan. One striker arrived in a hail of question marks, and never really answered them despite playing 19 times for the first team. He failed to score in any of those appearances, and only had one performance of any value - a must-win home game against Hull where he played wide left and looked like a modern day Ian Ormondroyd. It comes to something when your best moment as a Villa player comes not in a pair of football boots, but in a borrowed wheelchair. That moment was so outstanding though. So uplifting at a time of true gloom for fans of AVFC. A ray of delightfully juvenile light through Randy Lerner's clouds of disinterest. And that moment almost saw him spared from this XI. But he was truly crap. Since leaving 2 years ago, Jordan Bowery has played for Rotherham, Bradford (loan), Oxford and now Leyton Orient, scoring 13 goals in 76 appearances - this on the back of 10 goals in 83 appearances for Chesterfield before his claret and blue drought. Nonetheless, all hail this gif! Jordan Bowery - crap at football but King of VillaTalk!

I always presumed that as he was scratching around for a club for a few months, he was desperate to play football and would have been on a modest salary. Now I feel even worse about this deal..! Stevo985 Posted January 3, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted January 3, 2017 We all have those players who we jokingly say is the "worst villa player I've ever seen!" Well I think Tonev really is the worst villa player I've ever seen.

Zatman
Bowery is still the most bizarre signing the club has made, at least Salifou had played in a World Cup no idea what Lambert was thinking

NurembergVillan Posted January 3, 2017 Author Moderator Share Posted January 3, 2017 There was no room for Makoun, Berson or Gudjonsson in that central midfield either! Still one more striker and a substitute to go...

Xela
C Cole and De Bilde were just loan players so can't counted IMO Balaban must be the other striker.
