In fact, i'm feeling incredibly cautious about it all. I know it's hard for someone to come in and do worse than Lerner, but people were saying the same about Doug and Lerner has managed to achieve that. Ultimately, Lerner failed because he didn't understand football or the culture surrounding it. So now we're supposedly getting taken over by a Chinese investor, and we will be the first English club to be owned by a Chinese owner/company, and that kinda scares me. It's nothing to do with race, it's just I fear that the lack of understanding that Randy had for football could rear it's ugly head again and we could be left in an even worse position than we are in now. My hope, is that whoever does takeover immediately does what Randy Lerner failed to do, and that's surround himself with people who do have an understanding of football, if anything is to be learnt by the complete and utter failing of Randy's time here, it's that guessing your way through football does not work. We need a board, we need a vision, we need a philosophy that doesn't change every time a manager comes and goes, we need investment in the right areas, we need to not waste money on players who do not want to even be here and we need leadership, on and off the pitch.
