Have number 10 already drafted up the “EU are being unreasonable” press release do we think?

Maybe if you look really hard there might be some faint text saying well done Boris for saving the day.

So.... What's actually going to happen to the man in the street? Prices in the shops will go up (1) and there'll be less choice (2)... Loads of businesses closing (3) and thousands on the dole (4)?

Is that the kinda thing we should be looking forward to?

(1) Yes

(2) Yes

(3) Depends how you are defining "loads".

(4) Yes, but then there are anyway. Thousands more? Still yes. Millions more? Probably not.

Obviously I'm very anti- the whole sorry affair, but something along the lines of "Keep distance? That's exactly what we're trying to do here, matey" is clearly the only sensible response in this situation.

I'd completely missed that Boris has taken personal charge of the Brexit negotiations. He bloody loves a good taking charge. So what's he been doing for the last 18 months?

Oh, it turns out he'd already done this a few times. Didn't seem to do much good. Still, bloody hard to justify a foreign holiday these days isn't it?

To every problem, a solution.

Chaos at ports and on the roads? Change the rules to make lorry drivers work longer, more tiring hours.

Clearly nothing bad can come from this.

That can’t be true can it?

Lorry drivers working longer hours previously legally unsafe?

The tories assured us there would be no reduction in working conditions.

The lying thieving tories wouldn’t lie to us would they?

The U.K. will be a ‘third country’ after the first of January so will fall foul of the current restrictions banning non EU citizens from travelling to the EU during the pandemic.

Hopefully there were not too many planning a ski trip this year.

British holidaymakers will be barred from the European Union from 1 January under current Covid-19 safety restrictions, with the EU commission indicating there will be no exemption for the UK.

It’s mind boggling. Every **** day the same “big gaps”... then “more negotiations”. What’s the point? Just ask each other final offer time, then we walk away.

And how long do we then leave it before we stop acting like stroppy toddlers and pick our toys back up?

We’re probably asking for the best of being in the EU without being a member which will never happen.

Even if by some miracle the EU agreed it, everyone else would leave, the EU would collapse and we’d be back to where we started.
