Partly because I misunderstood the intentions and partly because I thought that the recent changes were steps in the right direction (which they are) I now believe that the decision to carry on was the correct one. The board should not be allowed to rest on their laurels or think they have done enough. The pressure should continue. PompeyVillan Posted April 2, 2016 Share Posted April 2, 2016 My opinion is this. As soon as we appoint a new manager, these protests need to become positive celebrations. Today was fantastic. It showed the country, our new directors, a new manager and our players in particular that we will not accept a lack of effort or pride. At some point we need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and support the obvious rebuilding that is necessary for next season. I doubt the board is thinking "The protests are growing in popularity so lets not work quite as hard". These protests will motivate change. If I was a potential buyer I would rather see protests from engaged and passionate fans. That's much better than empty terraces and/or apathy.
