Voted Hutton for MOTM cause he just deserve it. Its not a minus that he kicked Sterling either. Here is a thought, maybe Baker has been a good defender all the time but he has just been exposed because our midfield has been shit for a few seasons.

If Benteke come back and hit goalscoring form fast I actually believe we can win the best of the rest-league.

Very disappointed Paul Lambert spends next to nothing gets a ManU player on loan when he could have doubled his spending for the season then only beats a team that cam close to winning the premiership by one goal. Starts Baker when every fan knows he is rubbish.

Only joking.

Great work by all the team players and backroom.staff. thought the team at annualised Liverpool's play and advised a strategy to nullify it. Well done the Villa including all those traveling fans.

What's impressed me the most so far this season is our work rate. It's been relentless, especially in games like this when we're going to be doing most of our running off the ball. Obviously, giving up that much possession is a bit risky, as you can't help but think that it's only a matter of time before we eventually crack under all the pressure, but the way in which we defended tonight was very admirable. I really think that this new found resilience and aggression is down to Keane's appointment. Great for the players to have this amount of confidence going into the dreadful run of games. Keep it up lads, you should be proud of yourselves. UTV!

We looked so solid and barely gave them a sniff. Senderos was an absolute beast and caused them loads of trouble from set-pieces.  Baker had probably his best game for us and hopefully he will kick on now as he has the attributes to be a solid centre back.  Cleverley played some really nice interplay and looked good. The delivery from Westwood on set-pieces was top class again and Gabby got another important goal.
