samjp26
People really shouldn't listen to much to the press. In the build up to signing Cissokho they were saying it wasn't close right up until we signed him and reporting it was a loan despite the 4 year deal. That isn't to say we are about to sign him, just let's not assume we won't because of what The Sun says. Just looks like a money spinner for that Sun+ crap

I want to hear how it's not happening, and we should all start cracking each others skulls open, and feasting on the goo inside!! Maybe some of us enjoy the misery!!! samjp26
Apparently the full Sun article says its because of wages. Definitely doesn't make sense.
smetrov
Apparently the full Sun article says its because of wages. Definitely doesn't make sense. Not wishing to defend the Sun - but in view of current restrictions at VP, the move breaking down because of wage demands would make perfect sense to me.......it seems almost a re run of the KI scenario...... PieFacE Posted August 12, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted August 12, 2014 Apparently the full Sun article says its because of wages. Definitely doesn't make sense. Why? The Ki deal fell apart for the same reasons so I wouldn't be shocked if this one did too.
Rob182
Because Elche probably pay lower wages to their players than Swansea do.

Zatman
said earlier that this guy would be a great signing if he settles in,. has great tactical discipline and would allow Westwood and Delph move 10 yards forward and slightly more dangerous

Rob182
I still think this one is ongoing. We're a Premier League club, so surely we have the means to figure out a little third party ownership? The most recent article posted seems to indicate the deal is still on, and that it will be as simple as roughly 2m Euros going to Elche and the other 2m going to the third party. Nabby
Can't blame club if there is an issue due to excessive demands and/or the 3rd party ownership. That said it would be frustrating as this has been one of the more exciting players to be linked in the last few seasons
