Villarocker Posted January 13, 2014 Share Posted January 13, 2014 If he does have lack of funds why go for Holt? Why not save the money/wages for something we desperately need? The issue with the Holt signing is not so much with GH himself, but more to do with the sequence of unveiling. Whilst we're uncertain of how much we have to spend, unveiling GH as the first signing is always going to be a bad PR move. Had we signed and shown off a couple of other players first I believe the many of us would see the reasoning in bringing Holt in. A cheap, experienced, and proven to be effective under Lambert understudy to Kozak. He may have been effective when he played for Lambert at Norwich but this is a different set of players.
