  1. I'm more worried about the fact you see people with ability who will make this country tick. I see a bunch of complete morons myself.
  2. All I got from this is Scooter Club are a member down this week.
  3. I really wish I had never sold my old consoles and games, Gameboy & N64 in particular. I now own an N64 with a selection of games that I used to own, but it would be pretty cool to own the original stuff I had as a kid.
  4. For me we need 2 signings in January. Striker - I don't think we need to replace Wes, what we need is something different. In a few games now playing Wes up top hasn't worked and we haven't been able to change our style of play by changing the type of striker up front. A player like Alfredo Morelos is what we need, he can play on the shoulder of the last defender, balls can be knocked in behind for him and he is also capable of unlocking a defence on his own. If you are trying to hold out for a win (like against Liverpool) you can leave him up front to snap away at the defenders and pull them about giving them something to think about. We currently have 3 strikers who play a relatively similar game in Wesley, Kodjia and Davis. Kodjia is surplus to requirements and should be sold, Davis needs sending out on loan to add goals to his game. Winger - Inconsistency on the wings is a major problem at the moment, along with a lack of chances being created for the striker. For me Benrahma is a player that would make a real difference to our side. If money isn't an object then in the long term meeting Brentford's demands could really help us get over the line this season. With a choice of 3 wingers (4 once Jota returns), it allows you to bring Grealish back into the centre whilst retaining the attacking intent from the front three. We then need to drill the front three to become more of a unit in the way that Liverpool play with Mane, Firminho and Salah; too many times this season have the front three not pressed together and not moved forward together. Left back isn't a position we need to strengthen in my opinion. Hause should be played over Taylor though.
  5. All or Nothing: A Season with the Arizona Cardinals was fantastic, couldn't stop watching it last week and over the weekend. Now onto All or Nothing: A Season with the Los Angeles Rams which is equally as good!
  6. It's all dependent on Grealish being back, if he's back then McGinn starts for me. If Grealish is still out next game I can see the appeal in benching McGinn and changing the midfield up. Everyone under performed yesterday, but McGinn was especially poor.
  7. Looks like I have an interview this week, the job is office based for another company. Would you say I need a suit for it? The only suits I have are more wedding/informal sorts. I normally go to interviews in trousers, with a shirt and tie. Would this be considered too informal? Basically is a jacket a requirement?
  8. A little harsh, granted he's inconsistent but then most wingers are. When he's on his game he's one of our best players, and he showed glimpses of it yesterday. Unfortunately when we aren't winning the battles in the middle of the pitch, aren't retaining possession of the ball and aren't carrying the ball forward through the center of the pitch it makes it very hard for players like Anwar to get into the game. Hitting balls out to the wings and hoping they produce some magic running from deep just doesn't work against a team like Wolves. He made some great runs during the game, but we were asking too much of him and Trezeguet at times. Without Grealish in the team we struggled to release the ball to the wingers in the right areas at the right time. We need to try and get the wingers playing alongside Wesley more as a front three in the way that Liverpool do, with the three pressing as a unit; in this way we can utilise El Ghazi's attributes in front of goal a lot more and release the burden on Wesley.
  9. Might enter this myself, got a lot better at Rivals in the last week as my team has progressed. Currently playing with this:
  10. Any news on the theme park?
  11. Ah that's fair, I wasn't aware that the club shop is now outsourced. I guess that makes more sense now. Beer buggies in the Upper Holte would be nice
  12. A few things from me, but firstly can we thank the team for this summer? Away from the pitch the changes made at Villa Park have been really positive, the ground looks great, the card machines in Villa Park work well, the Holte Suite is now easier to get into as one in one out actually works. Small things but it's the first time in a while we have been listened to and changes have been made. Onto the next meeting: Pride Rewards - as others have mentioned the rewards are pathetic. Can we go back to money rewards in the club shop/tickets/season tickets? Even if it's only £1 for every 100 points, the current choices are awful and we may as well not have a reward scheme in place. PA System - no noticeable improvements, has it been changed over the summer? The Holte Pub have a mobile beer pump which someone mans prior to the game. You can easily get a couple of pints in less than a minute. Can we start putting some of these into the concourses inside the ground? At halftime this would be a lot quicker and reduce the queues for people waiting on food/tea/coffee. Team Lineups on the outside screen and on the screens in the Holte Pub and Holte Suite? Is there any update on the mobile signal issue with all networks other than Vodafone? I'm not after Wifi like signal strength, just enough to check the lineup and halftime scores. Can we have no music after a win? The atmosphere from the crowd is much better with Allez Allez being belted out; stick the music on a few minutes later. Can we sort out the online store and stock issues with training kit and kit. The online store is always half empty and we must be losing endless amounts of revenue because of the stock issues.
  13. Finished Mindhunter season one. Slow start but really good by the end of the season, now onto season two. Also started All or Nothing: A season with the Arizona Cardinals, brilliant so far. Worth a watch even if you're not an NFL fan.
  14. Refrained from commenting Saturday night, as a) I had consumer a fair few beers and b) I was bitterly disappointed with the result Looking back on it today and after watching the highlights from the game I'm immensely proud of the team. To have gone toe to toe with the European Champions for 87 minutes without our best player was really something. We matched them for large periods of the game, should have been more clinical at times to extend our lead and defended magnificently at everything they threw our way. There's no shame in losing a game after undergoing such relentless pressure during the second half. If we can play with that much grit and determination for the rest of the season, combined with Jack returning to the side then we have nothing to worry about. This is a young team who will learn from games as they go, players who will get better and better. Yesterday will have been a lesson for all of them, the good and the bad. Positives Marvelous was marvellous Trezeguet is now showing glimses of what he can do Defensively we were very good for the most part, Heaton is like a brick wall We look as though we have moved away from being a one man team, with players able to cover for Grealish's absence Negatives The substitutions hindered us, however fresh legs were needed at that stage. The changes Smith made were the changes I called for myself so I have no complaints. In highsight an extra centre back would have helped, however the pressure was telling in those closing few minutes. Officiating in this league is so inconsistent. There seems to be an agenda for teams in the top 6. Although we got away with the 'offside' goal early on.
  15. That would be good, quite enjoying the challenge. Makes FUT a bit more exciting this time around.
  16. I'm not 100% sure but I'm currently reading the first book. Was hoping to have read it by the time this series came out but haven't had time. I'm almost halfway through the book, and they could get at least another episode and a half into whats happened so far, so I reckon season one is just book one.
  17. I've currently got 8, should pick up my 9th tonight. I take it we can carry the Icon Swap I's over to Icon Swap II? There looks to only be 12 you can get so far... Still undecided on who I want. The divisional rivals are infuriating with a half decent team from the leagues. Just got Ligue 1 and La Liga to go thank god.
  18. Very good last night, dominant in the air. Crucially he looked good at times covering for Neil Taylor at left back. I honestly would have Hause as our backup left back going forward.
  19. Liverpool could field a really weak side in the quarter finals as they have the Club World Cup in Qatar the same week.
  20. Anyone know what I can use to remove a sticker from my back windscreen? It doesn't really need to be there anyway, no one seems to honk, or nobody is horny...
  21. Hoping to see a strong lineup tonight to see us progress to the next round. It's a chance for some silverware and some excitement for the season. Rest some players by all means; Heaton, Engels, Guilbert, Targett, Nakamba, Grealish and Wesley. If we can win this game we progress to the quarter finals where we can potentially face Oxford, Colchester or Everton; all beatable teams on our day. This then set's up a semi final double header where Villa Park will be absolutely rocking.
  22. I have a feeling Wolves will go full strength for this.
  23. Let's be clear here, we were playing Manchester City away. As poor as Wesley was in the game, he was playing against one of the best teams in the world and we barely created any chances for him during the 90 minutes. I can accept he blows hot and cold, it's infuriating but it was to be expected. New country, new club, 23 years old; it's going to take him some time. Smith hasn't bought players to primarily come in and be the finished article from day one, he's bought players that he can develop to become the finished article at the club. Wesley has all the ingredients to be a quality striker, and it's now upto the coaching staff to bring it out of him. He need's to start putting in more performances like Everton and Norwich; and for that to happen he need's to start being smarter and more physical against opposition centre backs. Against Everton he bullied Keane and Mina for 90 minutes, they couldn't live with him. I would start Davis on Wednesday and see how he gets on. If he plays well and bags a goal then play him Saturday whilst his confidence is up, send a message to Wesley. If not Wesley goes back in and we try to get the best out of him, unfortunately he will playing against the best centre back in the world so it gives our fans another chance to bash him.
  24. The Last of Us is an absolute masterpiece.
