  1. I was pretty against this; then I just watched the video above of his 2021/22 goals. His finishing is till top notch, and he would put chances away for us no trouble. Watkins problems are his hold up play, it's really poor at times; although I understand it's not his game playing with his back to goal. Suarez is strong, relentless guy and will be much better at leading the line. I wouldn't be surprised to see Suarez, Watkins and another being out strikers next season. I feel as though we will allow Ings to go for the right price.Cameron Archer could be the third striker; or we could go the world class route if Gerrard feel's we can play with two in some games.
  2. What happened at Nantes? I was going to go to this European trip; flights and travel look horrendous to Rennes though.
  3. Finished the season at 8.5k; easily my best ever finish in FPL. Pretty lucky overall that I got off to a good start, and then wasn't chasing in mini leagues which let me play a safe game for the rest of the season.
  4. Currently at 8k; 17 points off the top 5k which is where I was aiming to finish this season. Going to be tough to make up that many points in one GW; might go for it with some random picks to gain ground.
  5. Another that's probably been mentioned here before, but Clickbait on Netflix is pretty good.
  6. Better Call Saul is easily one of the best series of all time; superb TV!
  7. I'm not convinced on Richarlison personally; feels like a bit of a trap. But saying that there isn't much to choose from up front this season.
  8. Finally made it to the top of the VT league. Now to try and retain my place for the remaining GW's. Lucky with the Son captain this week, I was set on Salah all week until an hour before deadline.
  9. The passing would have been purely down to nerves; he looked composed in the second half as he grew into the game. It also looked as though the players didn't trust him fully; or maybe didn't want to put too much on him. When he starts to adapt more play will run through him in the midfield. I thought he had some very good spells where he broke up play nicely. Can see him being a real talent next season.
  10. 'Yes but this is Manchester United!' In my best imitation of Roy Keane's boring United drivel.
  11. I can't bear listening to Neville bleat on about how hard done by United are. They dominated English football for years, and now their fans act like they are the new Bury. Boring.
  12. I actually think it might. We have a lot of young players in this squad who are improving, and a quality midfielder would make a huge impact. I think we'll see 2-3 incomings though with more emphasis on sales this Summer.
  13. The Targett sale for £15 million is fine. As others have mentioned we have likely added a loan fee, taken his wages off the books for 6 months, and potentially added a bonus for Newcastle avoiding relegation. We bought him for £14 million, so we are actually making a small profit. But most importantly we got two good seasons from him for our money; it's not always about the profit you make off players, but about the impact they had on the club whilst also recouping the fee paid. Great business all round in my opinion.
  14. So you would rather we played wingers and dropped Coutinho to the bench? Leaving out one of Ings and Watkins? Revert back to how we played under Smith when we played some absolutely awful football.
  15. I would imagine the complication will come from the pay drop in Coutinho's wage. His contract with Barcelona currently expires in June 2023, he's most likely told them that he'll be willing to take a pay cut to move to another club; but want's the difference, or part of the difference made up by Barcelona until his contract there expires. This would be the negotiation that Villa and Barcelona are currently conducting. I am fairly sure that it will be done though.
  16. Not good if he's out for a length of time. Might be time to see what Chrisene is all about...
  17. Thought he was good again last night, drives so well with the ball. Starting to look slightly jaded though, his performances whilst still good aren't his excellent standard he set earlier in the season. A rest on Sunday would probably do him some good ready for Arsenal next weekend.
  18. Bit of insight on that. Konsa was one of the last players into the tunnel last night, celebrated with the fans and the players. He looked absolutely delighted with the win. Great to see!
  19. Played well last night when he came on. But went straight down the tunnel after the game, didn't applaud the away fans with the rest of the players. Feel like he's pretty unimpressed not being in the first team.

    Matty Cash

I said it on the way home from the game last night; I wouldn't sell Cash for £30-40 million now. He's becoming a fantastic right back, and we would have a tough time finding a better replacement for that sort of money. We have positions in the squad we could do with upgrading to get to the next level, but right back isn't one of those positions right now.
  21. They way I look at it, it's 40 million plus a huge wage. In return you get an outstanding talent for the next 3 to 4 years. But what that also buys you is an increased performance level of players around him. Your essentially paying the money to get another 10-20% out of the players who he is linking up with, carrying the ball for, drawing fouls for. There's absolutely no doubt the reason for our upturn in our form is in direct correlation with Coutinho's fitness improving and his role in the team being cemented.
  22. I was the same mate, I had almost given up then just chanced it walking into GAME and they had a few available. Best thing to do is when GAME release stock online just go into your local store and ask if they have a few. Also follow @PS5StockAlertUK on Twitter with notifications on, they are pretty on the ball with stock releases.
  23. Give the lad a rest on Thursday, give Sanson a chance to show what he can do. Then bring Ramsey back in on Sunday against West Ham.
  24. Is it a hard game? I normally get through games on the normal difficulty level, but never exceed it. Is this one tougher than most? I find that if a game is too hard I lose interest pretty quick.
  25. Very good today, reminded me of the Aston Villa Jack Grealish.
