  1. Watch Gerrard leave him on the bench for the remainder of the season, and then have him leave on a free in the summer.
  2. Personally I would take £25 million and try to get someone in tonight to replace him. This is completely our own fault, we should have given Luiz a deadline to sign a new deal over the summer; and if he didn't sign it we could have sold him. That would then have given us plenty of time to replace him. We've gambled and we will now either lose him on deadline day, or lose him for nothing next summer.

    The NSWE Board

FYI this isn't me blaming the owners, rather the people running the club on their behalf right now.

    The NSWE Board

Price rises on season tickets Price rises on match days Training gear more expensive than rivals despite being the same Transfer plans thrown out of the window after big promises were made in a push for European football A constant need to suck more money out of it's fanbase. Don't kid yourself, the ground extension is great, but it's only being put in place to increase revenue streams, as with many other projects ongoing at the club. To be a dominant club in English football you need the money coming in, but so far we are being promised the world and being delivered nothing. I was all for this ownership group, and pray that it continues to be as good as it has been over the last few years. But right now we feel like we are a stuttering, rudderless ship. It's feeling like Randy Lerner all over again in some ways... NSWE need to take a look at the people running this club and ask themselves if changes need to be made to protect and progress their investment.
  5. Gerrard can’t even find a first 11 let alone his feet. He’s so far out of his depth I almost feel sorry for him, whilst I’m travelling back from London at 1am on a Thursday morning after witnessing another pathetic display. If people honestly can’t see Gerrard’s flaws I seriously worry about them.
  6. Digne is actually a good player, but in this formation we are asking him to do too much. We are essentially playing him as a full back, a wing back and a winger. If you watch him in the game he's pushed up past the midfield whenever we are in possession, then when we inevitably lose it due to being incapable of playing through the midfield, Digne is scrambling to get back and miles out of position. By the end of the game he's knackered and looks weak. Cash has the exact same problem and has suffered from cramp a few times due to it. If we switch to a 4-3-3 with wingers then the full backs can concentrate primarily on defending, but one can push forward when required to cross from deep or overlap the winger. Both Cash and Digne would be the perfect full backs to do this. It's a major problem for us right now, and I just can't understand why Gerrard can't see it.
  7. You've perfectly summed up my thoughts on the crest and the recent shortcomings of the club in terms of colours, logos, stars and kits. Thanks for representing the site; you've done us proud with this one!
  8. I've had a really poor start this year. But I'm persisting with the don't panic advise I gave at the start of the season. Some of the players who have had poor starts will come good. The likes of Trent, Robertson and James have all been consistent with points in recent seasons. Taking them all out at this point is a huge gamble, as you're then scrambling to get them back in. Rodrigo on my bench with 13 points killed me this week, especially as I took him out 5 minutes before deadline for a 1 points Tomiyasu.
  9. This is where I'm at. I got to this point on PS4; then replayed it on PS5 ahead of the sequel and I'm at the same point again. Haven't loaded it up for a month now, and doubt I'll finish it.
  10. Agree with this but would leave Digne in, tell him to overlap only and see if our defence becomes more stable. This is the team though, if Gerrard can't see it then I honestly give us with this club. ———————--Martinez———————— Cash—Chambers—Mings—Digne ————---Luiz———Kamara—————— Sarr—————--Buendia—————Bailey ————————Watkins———————-
  11. Fixed at around 3% Wish I had overpaid on my 1.58% for the last few years now, but you can't predict the future.
  12. Thanks guy's very helpful! All sorted, fixed for 5 years at a slightly lower rate than I was looking at initially. A bit of consistency at least going forward.
  13. The greatest TV show of all time for me. That final episode was perfection. Going to miss it!
  14. Is anyone clued up on mortgages? Our's fixed term ends in October, couldn't really time it any worse. Obviously the interest rate is going up by a lot making our monthly payments a lot more. I'm trying to work out whether to fix for 2 years or 3 years. Interest rates can't stay high forever, so I would be hoping to re-fix in 2 years at a much lower rate. But who knows what's going to happen...
  15. Glad you've said that as Ghost is the one I've not played, going to play it after I've finished Horzion 1. I would probably do Last of Us 1, GoW, then Last of Us Part 2 to break it up. Last of Us 1 is probably my favourite game of all time.
  16. I like Martinelli, looked good last week and cheaper than Saka. Long term it's a good transfer. Mahrez is one of those players who can be great for specific games if you know he's starting, but is constantly rotated so not a long term hold. I think he'll start this week though as he was on the bench last weekend.
  17. After last season with a top 8k finish I can probably give some advice on a successful season in FPL. I've pretty much learnt where I went wrong in previous years. Don't take gambles, especially not early in the season. If a gamble doesn't pay off not only do you lose out on points, you then have to waste transfers fixing the mess you have made. Make transfers as late in the week as possible. This week was an exception with the Haaland/Kane price changes. You want to know all the information available ideally, I usually wait for the Friday press conferences. If you aren't sure on a transfer, bank it. It's always better to have two transfers in the bank for flexibility rather than making a move you aren't sure about. Consistency is the key for a successful season. You essentially want a steady team that's picking up points consistently that you can tweak to adapt to upcoming GW's. Try to plan ahead a few weeks and work out what transfers you need to make to get key players in. High scoring gameweek's are nice but they won't win you the season if you then have low scoring one's because your team isn't set up for future fixtures. For me this season the midfield is looking like a weak area, I would be loading up on the high scoring defenders until some consistent midfielders appear in the next few weeks. Save your wildcards, save your chips. You chose this starting team for a reason, so go with it another week if you can.
  18. I went away and came back; I remember it being a lot easier after that.
  19. Martinez Cash Carlos Mings Digne Kamara Luiz Sanson Bailey Watkins Buendia This is what the team should be, however it won't be. Mings won't play, the midfield will be McGinn and Ramsey, and Coutinho will start.
  20. We go again, the title defence begins. Looking forward to another season of FPL; best of luck to you all!
  21. Think I would go for this: Max Lewis -------------- Leclerc -------------- Norris Russell -------------- Alonso Perez Bottas -------------- Gasly Ocon Vettel ------------ Ricciardo KMag ----------- Albon Yuki Zhou Mick Stroll ----------- Latifi ------------
  22. A name I didn't think I would see on these forums again.
