    All this stuff with Heck is quite unsettling. I get he’s been with tasked with maximising revenues but feels like he is completely out of touch with fans and going about this all wrong. It won’t take long for fans good will to evaporate.

    Barely got a mention on Sky in the UK either. The interviewer of Emery post match kept poking at him about it trying to get an Arteta like response but as always Unai remained dignified. One call against us happens - but the fact there are 3 or 4 obvious ones that they got wrong is despicable. Certainly felt like a bit of an agenda. I felt certain they’d rule out the Zaniolo goal as well.

    Think we need a proper honest update from the club about all this. Hope the one pending clarifies what’s happening as leaving us all wondering for days isn’t great as it turns into a death spiral!

    I’d imagine if the shelving of the plans was because of a third party then we’d be shifting the blame towards them very quickly to save face. As there has been no such shift it’s highly likely this is on Heck and his vision being much different to that of which Purslow had mapped out.

    Random observation about The Don - he’s never seen having a jolly watching other teams play ‘scouting’ them. Strikes me as the type of guy who would rather dissect video footage and not waste 2 hours travelling to the M6 or wherever. Little things like this from him make all the difference in his commitment and work ethic towards the Villa cause. Legend.

    Bit gutted about them shelving the new North Stand. Sat in VP and visualised it filling that end and was excited at the prospect. Seems that they want increase the capacity more gradually so will make improvements bit by bit. Would have been a magnificent structure and complimented the stadium. Have to wait and see what develops I guess.

    I’d be appealing it if I were Villa. Nothing in it really. That Yarmoliuk was losing his shit and pushing and shoving. Kamara tried to restrain him, who then got the flailing arm from Yarmoliuk so he shoved him back. Not even sure he meant to get him as high as he did.
