I think he’d be a good pick up for us. U21 captain. Probably more developed than a Bogarde or Feeney. Then looking long term a successor to a Carlos or Mings. I liked what I saw of him at U21 Euros.

I agree. We seem to spend sensibly but well - so far. Even the Zaniolo deal is smart business if it doesn’t work out.

Yes if The Premier League retains its place in the top 2 of the European coefficient we get the extra place. I can’t see us taking any spending risk - doesn’t seem to be our way.

Bored with nothing to do so thought I’d watch the Newcastle thing on Amazon Prime. My good it’s nauseating. I’ve watched all the other team docs but this one is the most staged of them all. Their board are probably the most unlikable bunch I can imagine. Amanda Staveley having phone conversations with herself ‘negotiating transfers’ allegedly… Must have mentioned FFP 30 times in the first episode. Sportwashing in full effect.
