Maybe, just maybe this is the year. Their downward trajectory and the upward trajectory of the teams around them means they’re in for a rough ride until the end of the season you’d think.

I’m 34. Yes we won the European cup before I was born along with a large percentage of Villa fans. Of course it would mean a lot to win the UECL. I’d be f**king delighted. I think we can do top 4 and the UECL win tho!

I really like him. A bit raw but certainly has the skill set to be a big hit for us. He will be learning on a daily basis. Was fine today - very good in the first half.

Class first half today. Hold up play and finishing was top class. I don’t expect him to with Haaland being Haaland, but imagine if he won the golden boot Well on course for 20+ leagues goals which would be absolutely incredible.

Great to have him back surprised he did the full 90 but needs must in the end I feel. Hopefully he’s ok for the next 3 huge games.

Massive win in the scheme of things. We got over the line - that’s the main thing. Hopefully get a positive win vs Spurs next week and we can really start to dream.

Hate Man Utd. Hate David Coote. I thought they rode their luck there. They missed a few big chances but Luton played well despite the 2 early goals and probably deserved something.

They’re just as likely to drop points in that run as they are to win them, with the away games particularly difficult and we could be double digits clear again. Better off taking it game by game as it’s impossible to predict 5/6/7 games ahead. As you say, anything could happen. What if United get a load of injuries and suspensions? They’d be in trouble too.

The Fulcrum to this team. Absolutely pivotal - he sets the tone for the whole team. So good to have him back. Looked pretty solid alongside Lenglet too.
