my old AVTV subscription has completely vanished from the subscriptions page (it was there a day or so before the subs for this went live) & now can't see any subscription choices other than the live matches options so it would appear at least that it has all been rolled into one

Didn't Allardyce play him up front quite a few times? Just having a quick look at his stats and he seems to score a goal every 10 games on average, Really surprising just how little he has played for the past few years so even though he is getting on a bit. Since he left blackburn in 2012 he has only played 70 odd games

Well we're going to be on another 20+ times this year so something needs to change. Honestly don't think the first game of the season matters too much, Nobody wants to get off to a losing start so perhaps taking the foot off the gas and sitting back a bit was more about trying not to get caught out. It didn't work out this time and Bruce was too slow to make changes but we were still unlucky not to have won it at the end & It's what we do from now on that counts. Away at Warlocks Cardiff isn't the ideal next game though, Think he may well get them in/around the play-offs this year :/ Will be interesting to see the team for the cup game midweek

There's quite a lot of 13 reasons why chatter much earlier in this thread. I say & watched it all back to back one afternoon/evening. Wouldn't recommend doing that as it's rather um draining/emotional but well worth sticking with Just watched the first 2 episodes of Midnight, Texas on NBC, Based on books by Charlaine Harris (Same author True Blood was based on). Australia avtv price $175, minumim wage $18.29 = 9.56 hours of minimum wage work to pay for the season Compare this to other places : USA avtv price $144, minumim wage $9.20 = 15.65 hours of minimim wage work to pay for the season Bit harder to work out for the EU with differing rates but Germany is below Germany avtv price €122 , minumim wage €8.84= 13.8 hours of minimim wage work to pay for the season compare that to if it was available in the UK.. UK avtv price £110 , minumim wage £7.50 = 14.66 hours of minimim wage work to pay for the season Prices (other than AU) are all fairly similar converted to what people may actually earn locally.

I guess that we will be the worst team to buy this subscription for due to the amount of times we will be on tv. Still a great service but even better for fans of smaller clubs that will get 35+ live games for their money compared to 25 games or so for us. Already pay for AVTV anyway for the radio commentary last season so will just keep it up for this season

Always liked him, too brave for his own good at times and i genuinely hope the amount of times he gets smashed in the head has no long term effect on his health. Would much rather we get rid of some of the other crap before someone who always gives everything. Good luck to him but i can't help feel that this is probably his level and if we go up this year we will need better defenders than Baker in the prem

The really annoying thing is that if it wasn't for the European competition commission ruling that BSkyB couldn't be the only one to broadcast live premier league games we would probably have never got to this point and sky packages would be much cheaper. Multiple companies trying to outbid each other has just driven up prices to insane amounts and this is then passed on to the customer by way of both higher subscription costs & requiring multiple subscriptions. At the time the commission were trying to force the premier league to sell the rights to at least 2 different broadcasters Richard Scudamore said that this would "damage the game at all levels", Turns out he was right and the commissions insistance that consumers should have more choice has just meant spiraling costs for everyone, More shite from people in Brussels interfering where it isn't needed. BSkyB were paying just over 1 billion for exclusive tv rights for the period of 2003-2007, Around 250 million per year. 10 years later and Sky/BT are paying over 1.7 billion per year. There is no way it would be anything even close to a billion per year if 1 company had exclusivity

I'm sure the 10 million+ he'll get as a basic wage will help ease some of the pressure. With the way things are going i can see more & more players retiring in their early/mid 20's. Once you have won everything at madrid, played in 2/3 world cups & euros and have 50 million in the bank by the time you're 25 what's the point of carrying on
