  1. 2-0 Cardiff. Both goals from lazy passes at the back from Leeds. I think they might have a sending off or two in them this game.
  2. I'm sure some of these have been posted here before. Quite a few were new to me.
  3. OMG are you saying she was a co conspirator and knew before the fact? "Remember to indiscriminately stab anyone you see in the park, but you can't under any circumstances let more than 3 die as I've already updated my Twitter status"
  4. Of course they're favourites. Doesn't mean they can't bottle it. It's not that inconceivable they lose 3, but Fulham will probably need to beat them in the next match. Although their performances have largely been very good, their results under Bielsa have been so inconsistent. Remember the difference in form his first season before and after Christmas? Bamford misses so many decent chances there is always a good chance of them limping to a few 1-0 defeats when relying on him for goals.
  5. Leeds playing way better than Cardiff and applying constant pressure...until a sloppy pass out from the back that went straight to Junior Hoilett who scored from from outside the box. I wont lose hope of the annual Leeds/Bielsa collapse until they are guaranteed promotion.
  6. We desperately need pace. Is Matty Cash quick?
  7. My mate who supports Utd text me to ask who he was and say he looked really good. Which he was apart from that absolutely ridiculous pass. I was living with him when we first signed Hause so he saw those disastrous first few matches and was surprised it's the same guy.
  8. I'd recommend starting with A Brief History of Time (or Briefer) if you've not read it. It's pretty easy to digest and helped me understand a lot of concepts I couldn't get my head around.
  9. I actually agree with Keane. There were a few occasions he was strolling about with others around him pressing or slowly jogged back as Sheffield United attacked. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as it was the first game back after a long time, but I don't think what has been said is particularly harsh. I know the 'wry smile' is a bit of a football cliche and people do react in that way to a mistake. That said, I've felt my blood boiling a few times seeing Mings piss about with the ball for no reason, ending in him almost giving a goal away and seeming to find it very funny. Don't think it would bother me if it didn't happen every game.
  10. I'm with you. I think it adds more attacking threat and with Davis I don't think it would hurt our defensive work rate at all. Our closest (upwards) rivals negative GD is 4 less than us. Maybe it comes down to goal difference, but with our fixtures and 9 games left I'd be surprised if we made that up sneaking a few 1-0 wins. We might as well go for it and try to bully their defence. Their midfield is decent so I'd like to see Grealish playing there and I definitely think their defenders are susceptible.

    Do you read?

It's not the best book ever, I just really loved the story and Gothic dreariness when I first read it. I was only about 12 mind! I'd never heard of it when I read it which I think helps. I often find myself being disappointed at anything I've read/heard hype about.

    Do you read?

Has anyone else read anything by Carlos Ruiz Zafon? I read Shadow of the Wind when I was a teenager and really enjoyed it. Just saw that he has passed away at only 55.
  13. Because it's meant to be infallible and eyes are overrated. Guess Dean's been fiddling with the sensors.
  14. Luiz looking so much sharper challenging for the ball.
  15. Is Michael Oliver holding Davis to social distancing rules?
  16. Pointless isn't it. Read that we'd be split across both dressing rooms too.
  17. That's shitty. No surprise at all you didn't say anything to a big group. If one of your friends said something to show they supported you then you'd have had an easier time biting back. Easy to say at my age though as I'd have been too scared as a kid up until about 13. Absolutely no blame on you. As adults we understand most of these gobby dipshits aren't threatening at all, but as a kid them fronting up and shouting at you in a group would be terrifying and that's probably what would have happened. Stuff like this absolutely is what BLM is fighting for. The movement was sparked by incidents with police in America, but the main fightback will always be education. In an ideal world every one of those guys is taught you shouldn't judge people superficially before they even started school and never develops prejudices. Maybe one does, but all your friends have been taught to stand up to bullies too so they all up to them. If everyone was properly educated like this it's unlikely any discriminatory legislation or practices ever comes into existence.
  18. I'd say nearly every football fan is the same. It's just the degree we do it and whether we're willing to go out on a limb saying it publicly when we've been burnt in the past. I like the fact you post your unfiltered, optimistic opinion on every player without worrying about being wrong in the past. Living in London I don't get a chance to see any of them play so I enjoy reading the opinions. It's not really surprising as I think most tend to err on the side of hope until we've been disappointed.
  19. You're not accounting for British exceptionalism.
  20. I've heard this too. It would be great if they both become 1st team players. We were discussing in the SHA thread how it seems to be quite a common claim for younger siblings as apparently it is claimed Bellingham's brother. The Gardner's, the Longstaff's etc. Most of the time I think it's when the older sibling has played 1st team football, which doesn't surprise me as I overrate pretty much every youngster to some degree until I've seen them have a run in the team! That article annoyed me. More fool me for clicking on their crap. The training video was only 3 minutes long and they based a whole article on about 5 seconds worth when he scored 2 goals in a training game.
  21. The guy doesn't seem to be hugely wealthy by PL owner standards, so 2 options I guess: He's desperate to secure the asset ASAP as he knows there will be much stringer bidders. It's all bollocks leaked to drum up more interest in case the Saudi bid fails.
  22. Apparently it's £50m higher too. If Ashley has any mechanism to stop the deal going forwards and has a chance to make more money he will take it.
  23. To be run on Fox News. It's going to be interesting when the election gets closer to see who breaks ranks. Presumably incumbent Republicans have to be a bit careful now as there seem to be primary challenges from someone who's louder, more populist and says they love Trump more for pretty much all of them. Once that internal fight in the party is done it might be time for some of them to grow a spine as some will need votes from people who haven't enjoyed the shitshow over the last few years to keep their seats. I think Biden winning the primary would have eased concerns of corporate interests so they wont all be throwing money behind Trump again. I imagine the trend has also continued that more Democrats in the vein of AOC will become candidates. It might leave Biden in an interesting position of having to placate a lot of his party all coming off a backdrop of BLM, everything this summer and his own involvement in past legislation. Either that or everything he does is seen as genius because of the relative insanity of the current term.
  24. I'm not quite like Dem, I just prefer grilled sandwiches. I also think I've only had one picnic in the last 10 years.
