Looks like my pipe dream of signing Emile Smith Rowe is gone with all the minutes/performances he's been having. Though you never know with Arsenal, they might sign another big reputation attacking midfielder on a 5 year contract that will stifle his growth.

TBF Reading are in 5th only 1 point behind Bournemouth so they might not want to sell either.

I think tonight also showed why getting a link (affiliate club) with another club or two is going to be vital for the academy/U23s to continue to improve. This was a senior debut for most of the kids out there tonight. Getting some of the 18/19/20 y/o's out on loan for regular first team football is very important in their development

Outside of the 7-2 win earlier this season, this is one of the matches where I'm proud to say I'm a villa fan. They were absolutely outstanding, extremely difficult to say a MoTM

Yeah, I definitely think that there will be an influx of South Americans. as @TrentVilla mentioned in another thread and @penguinbelow, I think that we will see a lot of English club owners purchasing clubs in Europe to try and get around some of the youth player signings changes plus the general permit structure.

I think that while Lampard is out of his depth, I don't know how much influence he has on transfers. Which by the way imo have been absolutely crazy. It feels like they signed 4 attacking midfielders/wingers and still have Mount and CHO from the academy and Pulisic from 2 years ago

I don't know if Arsenal would sell but he is one whom definitely interests me) This one is probably unrealistic, but rumors are that Lampard could get sacked -- Mason Mount (or one of the many other "attacking mids" they have. Left Back is a very tough position for us imo. We definitely need someone who can cover (maybe a full fledged backup). Someone mentioned it (i forget who) but we shouldn't be going out to sign backups, we should be signing players to first team roles that knock the current player to the bench. I just don't know who would buy for a 'reasonable' price that is an immediate upgrade. Rico Henry gets mentioned a lot but I don't know if 1. He's an immediate upgrade on Targett, and 2. would be worth the price that Brentford would want for him. (i also have mentioned a few times that he is a SHA fan as well)

Yep they have as well. It looks like Belgium has been the country mostly targeted. Brighton's one is Union Saint-Gilloise (in the Belgian 2nd tier)

It's interesting because what I've heard is that it will become increasingly common for PL sides due to Brexit. And we've seen a few clubs also doing it already (Brighton and City jump out)
