Another youngster signed a professional contract last week, Don't know much about him but think we will have some of the best youth in the country in a few seasons time. Can only be positive Aston Villa youngster Jaden Philogene-Bidace has signed a professional contract with the club. Jaden, 18, a versatile wide player who can play on either side, joined in January 2018 and became a regular for Villa’s Under-18s. He duly broke into the club’s Under-23s last season and put in some impressive performances. Congratulations on your professional deal, Jaden! https:/

Actually thought Eric lichaj was the best youth product on show today, very composed and offered a threat even on his weaker side...definitely going to be hard for Bennett to take his place

After going to the Villa U23 vs Reading U23 last night, 16 year old Kaine Kesler reminded me in style of play of a young Ashley Cole but on the right side! He has good potential!!! He was in my view Villa u23's best player on the pitch last night vs Reading and linked up really well with Tyreik Wright a number of times. Kesler bombed forward whenever he could always trying to make things happen and looks to have a very good attitude too. Definitely will be following how he does! Has anyone else seen him play? thoughts

17 year centre back signed a 2 year professional contract, it’s on the OS, very good, strong in the air and tackle, good on the ball too, he’s vocal too, as well as being a leader https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2018/07/12/dominic-revan-signs-new-deal

17 year old attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey has penned his first professional contract, only says long term on the OS, doesn’t specify how long. He’s a very good footballer, gets a lot of goals from midfield, he’s got a chance

Young Irish winger looks like he might make a debut today at Fulham. Those who've seen him play for the U23's will know he's direct, aggressive and has a bit about him. He's very young, but hopefully he gets on the pitch today and gives a good account of himself.

The kid who left WBA for Barca in the summer. Apparently very close to signing him.

The club launches it's live coverage of the U23's today. https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/february/Watch-U23s-live-on-VillaTV/ It'll be the first time games have been covered live from Bodymoor and by the sounds of things we're going to be doing it properly. A lot of fans on social media, and mostly me, have been grumbling and moaning for months about how poor our coverage has been in comparison to other clubs, and the club have now addressed that. I'd like to think that decision and the investment gets justified in terms of viewer numbers - so if you're not aware, we

thought he did well tonight, surprised that he's actually 21....... tbh i would take him as Targetts backup over Taylor from what i have seen.
-
Surprised he didn't have his own thread yet - ah well. Thought he played very well against Liverpool and I can see why we had to fight for his signature. Reads the game very well, comfy on the ball and looked very assured.

New youngster. Signed from Norwich for the academy. Anyone know anything about him?
-
He has a great name but today he showed so much potential in defence. He and Revan kept Salah and Mane more quiet than expected, he has a great future
-
Wow, didn’t see that coming, highly rated youngster apparently. Only 16, but in the England set up.

To my surprise I couldn't find a thread for Mark Delaney? If I've missed it apologies and can the Mods merge. Just watched a great interview with him on AVTV. He was one of my favourite players but its struck me he's become a proper Villa Man. Great player, started coaching the under 15s on a part time basis and now in charge of The Academy with 21 years service with the club. It was a very interesting interview which I urge you to watch and shows the connectiveness flowing through the club. I didn't realise George Boateng was also coaching with him. Talked nonchala

Thought he was fantastic tonight. Get Emi mentoring him ASAP.

what is this lad 17?, 18 at the end of Jan i think, looks a physical specimen. Might be exactly what we need in the DM role...(in a year or two)
-
He’s a Dutch player who’s position is defender, 16 years old and has 2 caps for the Netherlands U15. According to Transfermarkt.
-
Haven't seen a thread for him but just came on for his debut. Good luck to him. Honestly never heard of him before from youth posts
-
Charlie Farr has signed a professional contract. He’s a midfielder... but that’s all I know about him.

I had a look around and did some searches but I couldn't really find anything on the youth team as a whole more just individual players. So who are our most exciting youth players and who are we likely to see take the step up to the first team this season. Also from other topics it is clear that we really want to loan out our youth players to play league 1 and championship football as youth football doesn't prepare them for the big leagues. I was thinking would it make sense to try and establish or purchase a B team to develop our players at. If we purchased a team that just got

Couldnt find a thread for this guy but he has gone on loan to Walsall until the end of the season

U18s striker Kelsey Mooney has put pen to paper on his first professional contract until June 2019. I've seen him quite a few times for the U18s and he's an old fashioned style striker in that he's tall and puts himself about. He has no little skill to go with it though and is a good finisher, I don't know if he's Tommy Mooney's son or not, there's an article on the OS

Match threads and anything linked to the U21's.
-
Couldnt find a topic open on this (if there is one please link) So I see we won last night against. Did anyone go or watch the match? Who were the stand out performers. Still seems a tough ask to get out the group.
