  1. I thought as he is 19, might deserve his own thread (courtesy of BOF who posted the signing in the youth thread originally). Seems he can play striker or LW. Is he highly rated? Imagine, we could feasibly have 4 players in the team who are brothers lol, Caleb Chuka, Carney Chuka, J.,Ramsey, A.Ramsey. ------- CALEB CHUKWUEMEKA MAKES PREMIER LEAGUE MOVE Academy product joins Aston Villa https://www.ntfc.co.uk/news/2021/august/caleb_chukwuemeka/ Northampton Town striker Caleb Chukwuemeka has signed for Premier League side Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee. and a vid for you....
  2. 17 year old attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey has penned his first professional contract, only says long term on the OS, doesn’t specify how long. He’s a very good footballer, gets a lot of goals from midfield, he’s got a chance
  3. Another youngster signed a professional contract last week, Don't know much about him but think we will have some of the best youth in the country in a few seasons time. Can only be positive Aston Villa youngster Jaden Philogene-Bidace has signed a professional contract with the club. Jaden, 18, a versatile wide player who can play on either side, joined in January 2018 and became a regular for Villa’s Under-18s. He duly broke into the club’s Under-23s last season and put in some impressive performances. Congratulations on your professional deal, Jaden! https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2020/08/14/philogene-bidace-contract
  4. Tom13

    Louie Barry

The kid who left WBA for Barca in the summer. Apparently very close to signing him.
  5. Actually thought Eric lichaj was the best youth product on show today, very composed and offered a threat even on his weaker side...definitely going to be hard for Bennett to take his place
  6. Haven't seen a thread for him but just came on for his debut. Good luck to him. Honestly never heard of him before from youth posts
  7. Just saw him playing in goal for the England U19s and found he didn't have a thread yet. I also thought he wasn't English, but it seems that he switched allegiance from Poland lately? Saw that on transfermarkt but don't know for sure.
  8. Think this man deserves his own thread. Great Performance today. Villas Answer to Sergio Busquets

    Brad Young

https://www.avfc.co.uk/players/u18/bradyoung Not a player that gets mentioned a whole lot - I couldn't find a thread for him, so thought I'd start one. Anyway, he flies under the radar somewhat given the bigger names/potential stars in the U23s and U18 side but every game I've seen him in, he's done well - good technical skills, great workrate and a good athlete too; he's quick and doesn't tire easily. So far this season, he's got 13 goals and 4 assists in 17 games (16 starts) as per the link above - I'm guessing that just for the U18s. Thought he deserved a thread and some recognition!
  10. 17 year centre back signed a 2 year professional contract, it’s on the OS, very good, strong in the air and tackle, good on the ball too, he’s vocal too, as well as being a leader https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2018/07/12/dominic-revan-signs-new-deal
  11. New youngster. Signed from Norwich for the academy. Anyone know anything about him?
  12. Wow, didn’t see that coming, highly rated youngster apparently. Only 16, but in the England set up.
  13. Another highly rated youth prospect through the door, who’s played for the Bournemouth first team. A substantial fee involved. I absolutely love what the owners are creating at Villa. Welcome Ajani.
  14. Done and dusted, now. As someone noticed the other day, he wasn't listed as a trialist (against Wycombe, I think) so it doesn't come as a huge surprise. From what I've seen, he's a little behind some of the 18 year olds that we have (he's 19 at the time of writing) but there's clearly a lot of potential there. Think he'll benefit from a year of the academy, then maybe a loan next season depending on his progress.
  15. Aston Villa is delighted to confirm the signing of Declan Frith. The 19-year-old wide attacking midfielder joins Villa’s Academy having impressed on trial over recent weeks for the Under-23s in Premier League 2. Frith also scored a hat-trick for the Young Lions in the Birmingham Senior Cup first round last month. Academy manager Mark Harrison said: “Declan left Chelsea at the end of August and has been on trial with us for a couple of weeks, playing in games against West Bromwich Albion, Coventry Sphinx, Stoke City and Wolves. “Having performed well he has signed a professional contract. He is a wide attacking player who can play both sides. “We look forward to seeing how he develops.” Official Site
  16. Young Irish winger looks like he might make a debut today at Fulham. Those who've seen him play for the U23's will know he's direct, aggressive and has a bit about him. He's very young, but hopefully he gets on the pitch today and gives a good account of himself.
  17. Surprised he didn't have his own thread yet - ah well. Thought he played very well against Liverpool and I can see why we had to fight for his signature. Reads the game very well, comfy on the ball and looked very assured.
  18. https://www.avfc.co.uk/players/u18/frankieealing/ Makes his U23 debut tonight having played a few games with the U18s this season - just turned 17 in July.
  19. Played Wing Back today for the U23's, Looks a talent and half. Plays for England youth already. One for the future
  20. Had a very solid game against Wycombe tonight. Looked very assured and confident for such a young keeper. Be interesting to see how his career progresses.
  21. He has a great name but today he showed so much potential in defence. He and Revan kept Salah and Mane more quiet than expected, he has a great future
  22. a-k

    Ákos Ónodi

Thought he was fantastic tonight. Get Emi mentoring him ASAP.
  23. Cant find a thread for Hayden Lindley (18 yr old), but as he made his second senior appearance for us (his debut was versus Liverpool - in "that" game), also, his sub appearance has gone under the radar a bit due to other performances. Personally, i thought his control was very good, we didnt see much of him, but he covered at RB for Guilbert, and he had a few long balls across field pinged towards him, and ii thought he controlled them beautifully. Lindley is a DM apparently, but his debut was at RB (as above). Best of luck young Hayden.
  24. what is this lad 17?, 18 at the end of Jan i think, looks a physical specimen. Might be exactly what we need in the DM role...(in a year or two)
