  1. yeah, tonight he did his best and wasn't offered cover by other players that he would usually expect.
  2. the one question that keeps coming back to me is why do we have our full backs shift inside so much? not sure the reasoning behind it
  3. I was actually going to suggest, that if Lampard gets sacked (think there's a decent chance he will come the end of the season) that Mount could actually fit in nicely with our squad plus I would think he would be pushed "out of favour" as you say so would be attainable
  4. Think I read he's close to or has already matched the # of clean sheets that Heaton had — who had the most for us i believe — last year
  5. saw that he had been a doubt before the game, so was surprised to see him in the starting lineup.
  6. Dale Johnson is generally the only "journo" who actually seems to be understanding the different problems and uses of VAR imo — and puts it out there for the general public.
  7. this season is one of the most recent seasons where I have absolutely no clue how it'll shape out. I had thought that Liverpool was going to stroll the league, but I can't see that now with VVD missing probably the rest of the year. will be a very fascinating season no matter what.
  8. Absolutely love to see it. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/10/17/special-agent-jack-grealish-new-aston-villa-recruit-ross-barkley/ (think its behind a paywall)
  9. think that it's possible but they also might have wanted to just add more capital to the company
  10. I've been trying to make one for the last 20 mins and the only consensus for me is that either Henderson or Pope should be in the team and possibly Chilwell at LB. Everything else has a lot of competition. Henderson/Pope Trent Dunk Mings Chilwell Henderson Philips Mount Sterling Grealish Kane* James & AWB cover at RB Tarkowski/Konsa/Coady/Maguire cover at CB left back I'm struggling to think of one? Is Targett going to be that close to a call up? or Bertrand? Rice & Dier as defensive mid cover Maddison/Rashford/Foden/Barkley/Sancho cover in a more attacking mid/wing Ings/DCL & maybe even Watkins at striker. * I personally would start DCL or Ings over Kane (who I think has been very poor in the last few internationals) but I know that he's "undroppable" Very non big-6 focused and will never happen but that's more of what I would be looking at.
  11. yup. wonder what it's for? Transfer outlay?
  12. Nixon's spot on here (while the 2 EFL clubs would go to the National League point is still the same me thinks)
  13. I'm no @Villan4Life but Joe Rodon has been linked to quite a few PL teams in the recent weeks. there are probably a few others but thats the main one who came to mind
  14. Wonder if he'll accept a Poland call up for the Euros next year?
  15. how many different wide players can West Ham field? Feels like they have a lot of wide players but they can't fit all of them on the pitch at the same time. And that 100k factor will also play a role in me not be disappointed .
  16. yeah I definitely think that he will get fouled a lot less — think that Barkley will be a major influencer with this
  17. Granted I've watched only 2 games this week of him, but man Joe Gomez has looked awful in both.
  18. I honestly don't know who's a worse manager, OGS at United or Southgate for England. Jack's obviously one of the most talented players on the pitch and yet I've no clue what the gameplay to get him involved is. Great Assist
  19. It feels like every game we have one or two deep free kicks/corners where he just drifts alone at the back with no one marking it and we've gotten a few goals from that. Will teams eventually figure it out?
  20. I do have to say that I've seen several reviews of "who won" the transfer window and we were mentioned a fair bit (ESPN FC guys, and NBC sports over here)
