Agree if it's the right club. Needs to be a good standard at the top part of the championship where he will get to experience playing at a high tempo, looking to score goals. No value for me in him spending a season watching the ball sail over his head or camped in his half defending for his life.

That top 6 is so tough now, even top 8 when you look at the teams you need to be ahead of is tough. I think were in a great position to challenge, we probably need to be a bit more consistent though.

Do we need to be more solid defensively? How many clean sheets have we kept? Weve got to balance both parts of the pitch and Ramsey/trez will not contribute the same goals and assists as Barkley/traore. Look at the impact Barkleys positioning has on Watkins, he spends less time wondering about in the channels and more time in the box. No surprise that hes started scoring again.

A useful sub but I really dont see him starting ahead of bert. Whenever people talk of his qualities they focus on his energy and defending which says it all. Hes part of a front 3 and there to score goals.

Played a lot of games in a short time following an injury. He'll now be able to actually do some training rather than just recover. I think he needs the same allowances we gave to others to get to know his team mates, I think his quality is for everyone to see just needs time and luck.

Thought he was solid, created a sitter for Barkley and linked the play well going forwards at the start of the second half. Gets close to Watkins and pushes him into the box instead of dropping deep. I think we need to remember how many minutes hes played after a hamstring injury. A lot in a short time.

I've some experience In this field, the job title will likely the reflect the practise of working in research, analytics and insight though the application of that role could be focused on the football side of the club, the operational side of the club or commercial side of the club. This is why we probably are seeing a few clubs with similar job roles but probably different areas of focus. If hes recruited by and working for Lange, assumption is he will be supporting the football side of things. It's also quite possible that villa already have some people focused in this area and they will be consolidated under the new recruit. This is quite normal at the moment, lots of organisations bringing in chief analytics officer roles.

West ham are also having a great season, will be a very difficult game, a draw a good result, one not to lose if you have european ambitions.

I've no issue with saying we need to replace Mings and many others. Reality is we probably have 3 maybe 4 players who would play in a top 4 team if that's the aim. Barkley is on loan from Chelsea who deemed him not good enough. Shows where the standard is. Until that comes I'll enjoy them helping us get to that level.

I thought similar about his running into the box, hes nearly always an option and often makes the striker run when Watkins is out wide. I think Dean would play him ahead of Davies if Watkins was injured.

Yeah, I think the key bit is, if we want to keep Jack we need to match his ambition and this season for some reason things are conspiring that someone mean it might be possible to go from 17th to a position much higher.

Odd post, look at the stats, he ran more than anyone else in the team last night. He may not make the tackles of Luiz and McGinn but neither can match his ability to join and support an attack.
