  1. My thought as well, who's going to put up the money to buy him and I also think he will show some loyalty given the journey hes had.
  2. Hes 100% struggling with form and really hasnt performed at the level we would like. Right now in my opinion we need to find a way to score goals and Barkley gives us the best chance of doing that. I also think he brings much more out of Watkins. If I was Deano, I'd accept that hes a number 10, I'd play him as one and try to address in the summer. This wont come with lots of tracking and we may need to tweak the team to accommodate.
  3. i think we really need cover at full back as well, ideally someone who can cover both sides but is an upgrade on Taylor and Elmo.
  4. i think the same, they were developing a great relationship and knowing Cash is always overlapping allows him to cut onto his right foot or go down the line. Elmo isnt Cash and unfortunately were not at a stage yet where we can afford a squad that gives us that level of cover. I do wonder though if we have any options in the under 23's that would give us more energy from right back.
  5. I'm not a fan of the never change a winning team approach. I'd rather we consistently picked the best team based on fitness, injuries, tactics, approach, opponents. I'm worried weve struggled to score goals and this team doesnt look like one that will score lots. I hope to get these words rammed down my throat.
  6. I find it odd that You cant have the share of vote they consistently get without people liking them and unfortunately not all of those people can be extremely wealthy, bankers, hedge fund managers. They are liked by many people who feel represented by them. Similar to labour, they are strong in certain areas of the country. Villatalk aside, I know very few people that support labour.
  7. My only thought was around totting up, seemed to not be getting the decision from the ref on a few occasions, I love his competitiveness.
  8. I think a slight difference in scenarios, for Hourihane, he had already spend 18 months as a squad player failing to establish himself and now another young player introduced ahead of him. Ramsey was the final confirmation needed that his chances were very limited. For Barkley it's currently one game. Partly form and partly the system Deano wanted to go with. I think if he doesnt come back in against a side like Sheffield where you will have more of the ball and need to break down a side, it will take more explaining.
  9. So happy to see some changes yesterday to better fit an opponent. Bringing in Nakamba and Ramsey to add some steel and energy and I'd like to see a team to suit sheffield united. Assuming we will have more of the ball, I'd rotate Ramsey or Nakamba and bring Sanson or Dougie back in to play a bit further forwards.
  10. I think hes pretty important against Sheffield, I'd just rather see us with two in front of him rather than one next to him in games like that. We need his discipline.
  11. Pretty clear, you dont want him to do well. I rest my case
  12. I've not said you said you hate him....but sure, put words in my mouth I'm not really sure what point you were trying to make, my feeling is people dont want him to do well. I dont understand that.
  13. I think its quite clear that people hate him. Why does this board even have comments today, he didnt feature, would make more sense to put the Jacob Ramsey comments in the Jacob Ramsey thread. For me hes not been good enough, deserved to be dropped but my ideal outcome is that Dean gets him firing.
  14. i think the message delivered is clear, you havent played well enough. Surely it would be too our benefit if we all just got behind Ross now. If he could recover his form, we would be a better side.
  15. The best way is to let your manager know that you are interviewing in advance and that the drivers are money plus more responsibility/interesting role (no one ever says just money). When/if successful you can then follow up. Your organisation will then know whether: 1. They think you are worth keeping and have the ability to keep you (In my organisation we currently have a lot of restructure so i cant pay people to stay even if i want to). 2. They dont want to keep you. 3. They think you are bluffing. Your note above suggests you are not really that keen, any decent manager should also know this about you to be honest. In my experience, if you pay people to stay in a role you dont ever keep them for that long. It doesnt address the other reasons for looking to leave and is often a short term fix. If you approached me and i couldnt really do anything else with your job to find out why you were off in the first place, id just let you go.
  16. you need to be invited, the best way is to make sure your doctor has you mobile number on file and you'll receive a text. Around by me they are doing really well at rolling out the jabs, often the text messages are very far ahead of the letters though. I think this is because letters are centrally distributed in batches vs text which is locally distibuted based on supply and demand. My village has about 15000 people and is vaccinating 500 per day. Doesnt take long.
  17. i realised in the Leicester how good his relationship with Cash is going forwards. Several times he cut back and looked for Cash to run outside him to realise Elmo is going to. He may have more work to do defensively but ultimately we bought him for goals and assists, hes delivering those. I only see that front 3 improving,
  18. While I'd probably agree with this, I think southgate rates rashford ahead of grealish and mount ahead of maddison. One thing is clear, England have some unbelievable options.
  19. It feels like he could add some quality at 6,8 or 10 but maybe not the starter in those positions. I've seen no where near enough to be sure.
  20. Doesn't worry me anywhere near as much as it would have 1 year ago. If true then Watkins, barkley, mcginn, traore, Sanson all capable of stepping up.
  21. I think Anwar is a great option from the bench and to bolster our squad when needed. Good sign that weve now moved beyond him being a regular starter. We cant change everything overnight, I'd expect the likes on Anwar to be around for a while as our team and squad improves every year
  22. Not, not positive (I think I might be the only person who still supports Barkley). Just having the debate. Elmo is a big step down, a success story in a way of how far and how quickly weve progressed. Hope he does well.
  23. But then you need to start making the same adjustments for Barkley. Gets an assist if Traore could finish against arsenal off the top of my head. Goals and assists arent everything, my feeling is that when Barkley is on the pitch, he gets closer to Watkins than anyone else and takes more forward positions. This seems missing for me when he is not on the pitch. If he gets replace, he gets replaced. Either way I like a number 10 playing in advanced positions and dont want to see another defensive midfielder in the team when we are struggling to create and score goals. If Sanson plays, I hope he isn't constantly tracking back and isolating Watkins.
