  1. I think I read that you can defer for a year or two if offered a place.
  2. Agree with this. Kamara a step in the right direction, hopefully adding Dendonker will allow us to play more effectively the attacking talent that we have.
  3. West ham not getting Bednerak means they are not selling Dawson to Wolves. if Wolves don't get defensive cover (Boly and Coady have left) will they look to keep Dendonker? It maybe we're not after both but have progressed two deals just to give ourselves a chance of landing one.
  4. Its not but it could be a sensible more. Carlos was first choice but has an unplanned injury. How long do we need a replacement for? 6 months, 12 months, who knows. He gives us Centre Half cover and also could play in a defensive midfield position next to Kamara. Its a reaction for sure, but i doubt anyone gets all of their first choices.
  5. Another solid defensive unit to play next to Kamara. It make sense to me.
  6. I agree but at the same time you need to keep pace. In Jan we signed chambers and Coutinho. The transfer window spend has certainly dropped away. I've no issue with the club becoming more sustainable, it will be hard to marry up high expectations with low transfer spend though.
  7. The Start bid suggests some more money will be spent but in terms of signings and spending we've definitely gone a bit backwards in comparison to rivals. It could be a shifting focus towards spending on the academy and the stadium.
  8. Are they guilty of under investing in this window? Its a record breaking season for money spent and we seem to be behind some of our league rivals.
  9. In the club shop they are still showing the squad names and numbers from last season. Not a big deal to sort.
  10. loud in the Holte but a third of the stadium had already left so definitely not all of them. Microphones are always well placed.
  11. Not following the Beale love in, we were shit with him as well.
  12. Really glad I'm not responsible for some of the rubbish my old man comes out with.
  13. Every time I watch him I'm impressed. Played left side today and still our main outlet from Emi despite it being his weaker foot (I'm assuming he's right footed)
  14. One of my concerns over potter is how long it might take for him to be successful. He'd potentially have to turn over a lot of the squad and change the footballing style. I'm not convinced we would give him long enough to be successful.
  15. Agree, I think we'd be a laughing stock for future managers if we sacked him 3 games into a season where we've asked him to rebuild and set a certain style of football.
  16. It happens, I think we'd all agree that the ways deals are conducted here is pretty decent. If this one isnt right then walk away. Alternatively this could also be part of the negotiation.
  17. Its an odd signing but may make sense at the end of the window. Sometimes you don't sign players In the order that your squad needs them.
  18. That I agree with. He's quite inexperienced, I don't understand why we want to help another teams youngester develop while Carlos heals.
  19. I also think konsa and chambers could have managed that playing alongside Thiago Silva and Rudiger. Last time we applied the good enough for Chelsea logic we ended up with Ross Barkley and Danny Drinkwater. I don't see the value in replacing unless it's with an improvement. I don't think Chalobah is.
  20. Nope, watched him a few times including once in the flesh. As mentioned, I've not seen any evidence that's he's better. As you correctly read, it's an opinion, sort of the point isn't it that we share them.
  21. Not a chalobah fan, I thought he was completely dominated by Watkins and Ings when we played them last year, Chelseas comeback came once they subbed him off. Never seen any evidence that he's better than Chambers and Konsa.
  22. I'd love us to get Eze from Palace. Would be an upgrade on Ramsey and massively improve our midfield.
  23. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you will only miss out on the hikes until Feb 23.
  24. Is he a striker now though, played wide yesterday? If Bailey gets two assists we all rave about it. He's finished with double figures in the last two seasons, no reason to think he won't get that again.
  25. I thought his relationship with Ramsey was really starting to show today, they combined excellently a number of times to get Ramsey in around the back of the Everton defence. Digne was also available wide left many times but the quality of passing not quite where we need it to be. As others have said, he has more to do defensively but isn't helped by a narrow midfield. Digne and Cash often end up very exposed.
