  1. its not his hair mate. Wes Edens gave it to him.
  2. feel sorry for him but it shows how hard it is to break into this team. Last time when in form he was competing with Toney who was outscoring him. This time hes competing with Wilson whos had an unbelievable April. Unfortunately England are blessed with forward talent and Watkin is somewhat inconsistent.
  3. But last year west ham made the final and finished 6th. They even strengthened in the summer.
  4. I think the ref has been alright under pressure. I'd have liked a card for fabinho but other than that he's not bowed to the crowd and given them a pen or awarded a red. Got our pen spot on when it first looked like Kanoute had won the ball. We've looked good, bright in midfield and tested them going forwards. I've just never liked Watkins taking pens
  5. its difficult to judge CEOs on the successful appointment of managers, especially in a season when i think all but 6 clubs have changed manager. I think on Gerrard he may have been guilty of recruiting Gerrard based on his commercial appeal rather than football but i also recognise that they were trying to achieve two things. Generally though, the club is on an upwards trajectory on and off the pitch so its difficult to say he hasnt been successful.
  6. its a risky nervous strategy but against Spurs it helps us to apply pressure to the spurs defence and they resorted to long ball football, easily picked up by Mings and Konsa. I dont expect Unai to play it against everyone and i think its likely at some point that someone exploits it. When they do, we need to adapt as well. Exactly what we would all expect Unai to do. Our loss to Leicester i think they really exposed us playing out from the back and waited for the ball into Kamara and Luiz. We've learnt other ways around that, we can do it here as well.
  7. Some good examples. Maybe mistakenly I assumed the main frustration came from the closure of lines and station to remote areas. As someone who uses the Elizabeth line frequently it's an excellent investment.
  8. Which is exactly my question. Why will a nationalised rail service be more affordable or reliable? The main argument seems to be that they can't be any worse which I don't think we can necessarily say.
  9. Would we expect a labour government to re-open previously closed lines in a nationalised rail service? I'd be shocked, particularly when you need to pay for under investment in infrastructure and you are already up against it on an underfunded nhs. I just dont understand why someone would want to nationalise more services, you are giving people more sticks to beat you with.
  10. Do people want these things nationalised? I can't think of many national institutions that seem well run.
  11. For Tewkesbury you can nominate 2 candidates, for Parish Council voting upto 8.
  12. I voted for a local conservative candidate and a lib dem candidate in our local elections. I voted for 2 lib dems and 1 labour in our parish council elections. Personal preference in local elections is to look at the candidates that i feel are vocal and contributing to the area i live in.
  13. In my experience, these things are only ever used/referenced when people already feel like individuals are not contributing. If a perception exists that youre not working, taking time away, id expect this to become a future metric that gets looked at. As others have said, i wont work in an environment where this is used.
  14. Which never happens. Was stupid, allowed Shaw to wind him up, cost us time, annoyed his team mates. A lot to learn
  15. Why is it clever, we're a goal down in the last few minutes and he slowed the game costing us about a minute or two of injury time. Frustrating and unfortunately expected.
  16. No ones fault but a very avoided goal. Konsa gets up quicker and it's offside, Emily not caught out by an early shot and jts an easy save, Moreno runs with a bit more intent and he's not caught out by Bruno.
  17. Watching the replay, Moreno could have responded better. The initial ball to Rashford he's jogs back and is appealing, Bruno comes from a long way behind him and wants it a bit more.
  18. But still, to be generating that much more income with a such smaller gate, they must be doing something were not. Can't just be reporting
  19. True. High line wasnt the problem, konsa. Being slightly slower than the rest was. Fine margins
  20. I think the slippy surface as well, players seem to struggle when changing directions.
  21. They also only got a 32k capacity. So whatever they are doing, they are doing with 75% of the fans
  22. I think the reason he hasn't been thrown in has been the closeness of our recent games. Newcastle aside we've not really managed to put a game to bed which has reduced our opportunity. I think in Dhurans run outs he's brought energy but often signs of a little lack of discipline and maturity. The melt down after conceding to arsenal and throwing himself to the ground when not taking a chance spring to mind. I love his energy but I suspect Emery will demand more before he gets a proper chance. Watch him score a winner today now
  23. I'm sure emery said it would be sorted in the summer.
