  1. I'm on my second BMW IX3. I absolutely love it, perfect size for the family, great performance and superb economy. I wasn't quite ready for the spaceship electric car, this just feels like a normal BMW (which I love)
  2. Standout? he played 11 times. His assists and goals are good. But i think 10m is a tempting price for a promising youth player that may never make an appearance. Not brilliant, just tempting.
  3. one thing i fully agree on is it feels very last minute. The new "product" wasnt full explained and information seems to drip out a bit at a time and allows for speculation. The more recent speculation around away ticket allocation being included is still more anecdotal, it would help if the club clarified this. Similarly it would probably help if the club had clarified this at the start, id have paid more for an away ticket allocation selfishly as i havent been able to get to an away game for years. I'm hoping that this last info is more to do with the club not really knowing what was happening with the north stand and its timings as well as not really knowing if we would be competing in Europe or not. Both things probably impact our costs and ability to earn revenue.
  4. Chuck is a good argument i think, as is Dhuran. On the other hand we'll probably lose Kienan Davies for next to nothing and he was playing more for the team at a similar age. I wonder with Aaron whether his cost increases because of his brother?
  5. Im torn. My inclination is to say they expected to sell upgrades to existing STs and then when that didnt happen they reverted. They may have intended all along to sell the remaining to non season ticket holders, my point is more that this information isnt really relevant in the season ticket holders survey as it doesnt really impact the majority of them. My feeling is that the club would say this is obvious. If existing STs dont want the ticket, they will start selling them to other fans and using the season ticket waiting list to do this (thats what it is for). The issue is really around cost and fairness to those that cannot afford a premium ticket. My feeling is that the club would say this is an existing problem, weve got 30k season ticket holders and many would not have been able to afford either. This already means that a group of fans that can afford a couple of games per season are very likely excluded already. Also respect your opinion here, i like the debate and try to see different sides to the discussion.
  6. Correct hindsight is a great thing. I seem to recall that generally spurs were considered by many to have "won the transfer window" last season. It really didnt play out like that. This time last year i thought our business of Coutinho, Carlos, Kamara, Olsen, Dendonker, Augustenthingy was excellent. Roll forward a year and its probably not played out as well.
  7. im torn, a 10m fee now would probably feel about right. Hes not really achieved anything and we have had many similar youngsters that have faded away. If that fee got anywhere near 12-15m i think thats a tricky decision for the club based on a player that hasnt made an appearance yet (i think).
  8. i dont think i agree that it was underhand. The club is asking questions to try and determine where a demand may exist to increase revenue, it wasnt about getting permission, they dont need that. It was clear to me that they were targeting some form of hospitality linked ticket and lots of people had an interest. That tells the club that the demand maybe there. Your issue is with the price and the fact that these seats have now been offered to non STs, that wasnt explicit but why would it need to be? . I dont agree by with the costs, i dont agree with the price increases to STs but they are not surprises to me. I dont see the club coming out and saying that prices will be held, in my opinion they are consistent in showing that they need to generate more funds and some of that will mean that fans are paying more.
  9. plus really what does it mean to be on a list. I sort of hoped that clubs identified c10 players for each position and the days of number 1 targets were gone. Its a dreadful negotiation strategy to just be after one player.
  10. i think it also makes it tough on the youngsters. If the expectation is that you come in and can play the role of a 30m winger.
  11. Im going to sit almost on the fence like others but i will say i dont think it will be Diego starting. I think Unai may have him as 4th choice
  12. a very well made point. for more recent evidence look at the Brentford team at the weekend. I wonder if any other board has such a long thread for a sub keeper
  13. Keep both preferred but I certainly wouldn't swap out Baileys goals and assists for a guy who's had a couple of good pre season appearances. Lets not get carried away.
  14. I think to do it consistently we will need better. I don't also believe that Newcastle can finish top 4 for multiple seasons with that team. It was a surprise I think all will admit. I can't imagine any other top 4 side playing Ollie up front for a season. I can see him coming off the bench for them. This tells me he's good but probably not someone who can play consistently in a top 4 side. Same with a lot of the others. Sorry, just how I see it.
  15. Making the jump from where we are into the top 4 is one of the hardest. Especially to do it consistently. Realistically it probably means replacing the majority of our starting 11 which includes Watkins, Mcginn and Mings. I don't think you can do it over night. I love Watkins but I can happily accept his failings. If you are suddenly looking for him to become Kane or Halaand you will be disappointed.
  16. I think it's a real stretch to look for a pattern with Diaby, they've probably had 90 minutes or less on a pitch together. I think Watkins has just been Watkins, scores some chances, misses some chances, work rate is still ridiculously high and add in the fact that he's playing In a friendly tournament in ridiculous heat. He'll get double figures again this season, I'm confident of that. He'll have some good spells and some dry spells.
  17. Have any VTers had to go back and delete messages at 2 nil?
  18. Really, I thought he made contact with the man and got none of the ball. Seemed blatant to me
  19. I thought he was in his own half when the ball played?
  20. So this is just the standard away ballot. Not some super special away ticket preference. I enter this every week, I've never won.
  21. Has anyone on VT with a terrace view seat been able to confirm that away tickets are possible? I've seen a screenshot on twitter of someone's iphone notes. Is that it?
  22. This is part of the loan experience I think. Learn to battle for a place, learn that your name doesn't guarantee anything. If he performs well he will play.
  23. Target would probably be someone 22-24. Similar attributes but hopefully turning a profit. I'm fairly sure our vast scouting network and leadership could source someone.
  24. Would any consider selling? He's 28/29 (can't be bothered to check which) probably at his peak in terms of value and will only reduce. Only 2 years left on a contract, Should we be looking to cash in and reinvest in the squad.
