  1. So a good friend of mine who 24 years ago was part of a group of us friends that attended our first PJ gig together has got me and MrsVM a ticket. So 320 quid plus accomodation. He was really excited but didn't believe me about them being 160 quid a pop. I feel a bit dirty but how can I say no to my 50year old mate all excited about something that isn't Indoor Bowls. I had running commentary on the whole process though, and as I kept reminding him throughout, this sort of thing is not for me. Register, pre-register, pre-order the album etc. All I was after was a ticket to a gig mate. For the record he did all those things and still got told to f off. His missus came through with the tickets in the end. I wouldn't have bothered myself. Nothing screams world tour more than some insurance firm rinsing people dry On the music side of it, because they play different sets each gig and because it's my third PJ gig the list of favourite songs I've seen them play is quite long but I'm really hoping to get Blood, Leash and/or Whipping which I've not seen them do.
  2. A little villa gnome that sits on his mushroom on the windowsill is probably the unusual you're after Oh, and my villa fairy door
  3. Bit late to the pile on but none of the response buttons seemed appropriate Dav and just wanted to add another that's utterly shameful behaviour from the nursery to the mix.
  4. Don't forget that Councils up and down the land have had the domicillary care budget from the NHS dumped on them. All our Council Taxes are rising and services are being cut to pay for things that National Insurance used to cover.
  5. I seem to remeber this thread saying the same thing about Boris
  6. The house I'm working at at the moment has "SS" written on the driveway. Actually it is number 55. but the black bricks in the brick driveway make it look like Herflick's residence. I don't know why this annoys me but it does.
  7. Literally played it last weekend and still gets a regular run out when my mates put their computers down one night a month and come round for games night. Although one of the dashboards has no needles and one of the cars is missing. Great game
  8. few years ago (2018 IIRC) PJ were £160 for the back row of the 02 so I checked out the continent and Rome was loads cheaper so we went to the Stadio Olympico instead. One of the best ideas MrsVM has ever had IMO. Best stadium gig I've been to.
  9. MrsVM and me both spent a lot of our formative years in the service industry, so we like to tip when someone's trying but we wont when it's chucked at you but it's more there to be lost rather than gained if you get me. I dont want tips going to the owner, the till or split with the chef either its for the waiting staff wh served me.
  10. Best and worst religions eh. Blair and his bloody league tables for everything
  11. Straining or tearing the ligaments in my ankle playing footie last night and feeling upstaged by Kamara et al. But yeah you can add me to the injured ligaments list for the season
  12. Scratch that, perhaps now arguably 3rd choice DM after Dougie and Iroegbunam.
  13. don't think there is one mooney
  14. but not the tiny little ones Thatcher took off us that were warm in summer from our childhoods
  15. still get milk in bottles here in the past - sorry not the past , mid wales the short stubby ones though, not the taller bottle of my youth
  16. If I remember correctly you're in the states. One of my favourite bits of visiting the states was realising many places had dog parks and not dog parks. Invariably the dog ones had no kiddie playground and so on. I think it would make a massive difference to people who don't like dogs running at them and jumping up at them if we imported this model over here. I was always a cat person and I knew a kid who was attacked back in the day in the midlands and ended up out of school for a year having skin grafts on his scalp because an alsatian attacked him, that always tainted my view, but recently a friend took on a rescue collie and she's my mate now. So I too have mellowed somewhat.
  17. I totally agree of course, but there's an equally compelling argument to be had imo that we get the governments we deserve.
  18. I enjoyed Loudermilk. But then I do enjoy the Farrelly brothers stuff. And Ron Livingston is great. So no surprise really.
  19. That was brutal. We're all used to going out of the FAcup but that was a tough watch. As much as it's easy to be annoyed at the Kamara/Cash giveaway for the first, the missed header from Carlos for the second and it didn't look like a free kick to me even if the guy scored a worldie (close ups/replays might prove me wrong) credit to Chelsea. Along with Liverpool and Newcastle they stopped us from playing and enforced their own game onto us.
  20. Yep, I was thinking the same. He's arguably 4th choice DM next to Iroegbunam at this point.
